Default W.O.W Easter Challenge~~Week 4

I feel ridiculous starting this thread since I have been off in junk food land, and am crawling back with my tail between my legs. Those of you considering the fast food circuit, don't do it. It wasn't nearly as yummy as I remembered. In fact it made me feel horrible, and tasted pretty gross, along with drinking no water I got a GIANT dehydration headache last night.

Anyway, today is another day. Today I will be OP, and I'm so thankful I have that option, because even though my brain thinks eating OP is a punishment, my body knows it feels awesome.

On the plus side I joined the Y yesterday, because I'm hoping to convince my brain that exercise can be fun. I'm still going to do the treadmill, but I'm going to try to use the Y to "play".

W 96 oz
E 30 minutes on the treadmill
E 130 cals no bites licks or tastes
D Good food and exercise is good and makes me feel much better. Bad food and being a couch potato makes me feel like crap. Try to get that through your thick skull.

Thin Thanks for starting the thread. I know how you feel I did the same thing yesterday. I think its mid-cycle cravings or something. I ate horribly, and very little water PLUS I had a diet soda (I haven't had one since december, EWW) I don't want to think about the calories I consumed. I paid for it though. I will spare the details but my stomach was not pleased. I am glad you joined the Y! I truly love the class I am taking, I was nervous to try it but I have really gotten into it.

I had such a hard time getting up to workout today. I made myself because I knew I would feel better afterwards, but I was not into it today.

W 100 oz get all the salt and crap out of my system
E 20 minute tread/60 minute class
E1400 cals today
D get house cleanned/ eat good clean food.

Hi girls! Back from Laughlin! Back at work. Minimal scale damage, minimal wallet damage, lots of rest, 1 overly drunk night.

Leaving work to take BF to get his 5 (yes, 5) wisdom teeth pulled. No wonder he thinks he's so smart. Anywho... Will come back and catch up this evening! Have a great Monday... Whats our motto this week?

A shout out to all you WEEDers!

I worked out this morning even though it seemed the gods were against me. Then I proceeded to take my dog for an hour long walk in the cold. I am WIPED! Must be in the air, eh?

I am down 2 pounds which isn't saying a whole lot because I put 4 pounds on the week before!! But, at least things are moving in the right direction.

I feel like I've been smoking WEED all morning, literally. Maybe I should try having a nap like my DH is doing right now!!!

Hi WOW girls! I've so missed you all!!!

I have been away dealing with my "female" issues. I am perfectly fine now though. I had that ablation back in Feb, got a nasty infection following that so laid up with pain and fever, two rounds of antibiotics and still doing a multivitamin/iron supplement thing for very low blood counts and now I am happy to report that I am pain free and feeling so much better.

The bad news....I now weigh 265 But obvioulsy I have been laying around the house, barely making it through work, no energy, no endurance. SO while I'm not exactly up to par, I know I need to try to get back in. Even if I walk on the treadmill at 3.0 miles per hour, I need to slowly work my way back up to where I once was (I could walk comfortably on tm at 4.0 mph and even could jog a few times in 30 sec spurts, I could lift forever, I could do 100 crunches, and so on)

So...I rewrote my siggy. No short term goals for now. I just want to get back into the swing of things. I know I need you girls for sure! I need to work on the inside and the outside. So it starts again today! I like starting this time of year just because all those years ago when I was truly successful (wow, when was that? four years ago? five?) I started the day after a St. Patricks day drinking binge and got into the best shape of my life. Granted I only got down to 220? 215? somewhere in there, but I was exercising consistently and eating great and felt the best I've felt in my adult life.

So now. Today!! is a great time to start! We can get this fab jump start and by the time we hit our grooves, summer will hit and we can get outside and walk more, go to the park, hiking, walking the zoo, all those fun warm outdoorsy things.

So I'm back, I've so missed you all, glad to see all the regulars still hanging around. I'm off to read last weeks thread to catch up.

So proud of you ThinPoss for joining the Y, you are going to love it! Yes, go and play, learn everything you can and DO IT! Congrats! Oh and I'm with you on the fast food stuff. Lets count down the FFF (Fast Food Free) days. Oh actually I'm on day two, Saturday night was my last ff binge.

Plus I hear Shari, you joined a gym too! My girl! I love keeping up with you because we weigh nearly the same (I bet I'm higher than you now though) and we relate to each other because of that (though your schedule of work/school/etc is so much more complicated than mine!)

Personals for the rest of you later. Love you all and glad to be back. BTW, where do the rest of you post besides here? I used to read the Support forum, the 100 lb club, even the 300+lb club and the general chatter. I lurk about the BL thread (the one that discusses the show) and the exercise/lifting forums. But I hadnt posted there too much. But part of my new me goals includes contributing more to the community here.

Enough rambling. Hit Submit reply. NOW!

Thin & JCat- I hear ya about the junk food. There seems to be a time, though, that we got to have it.

Clykk- Great to see you had a good workout this a.m. I slept in so don't know what I'll do tonight.

Nursie- Glad to see you're back and on the mend!

Nix- How did you handle to ciggies while on your trip?

I ate okay today. PMS is still playing the nasty and no sign of TOM. I'm really sleepy and achey and short fused so it must be right around the corner!

Wink

Girls, girls. Everyone is so present and gung ho today. YIPPY!! TOM has let up some, so I am feeling better. This getting closer to menopause and all that it entails, SUCKS!!! That's what i have to say about that. The scale was down a bit, 196. I really want to get as close to 190 as possible before the "Scale swing" happens again. It is truly un-settling.

Thin- Congrats on th Y. My friend asked me the other day about joining for the summer. She has 2 small children and it is hard for her to workout during the summer. I am thinking about it. It is just so expensive.

Jeni- Tie a knot and hold on. You know I completely understand. Don't let it beat you.

Nix- Happy that you had a good weekend. 5 wisdom teeth. Funny. My DD only has 3. He must have one of hers.

Clykk- Any loss is a good loss. Keep it up.

Michelle- Glad you are back and on the mend. Sounds like it was no fun. Why are we so blessed with the uterus and the ovaries and all the crap that goes with it. Can you tell how I really feel about it?? Other threads- BL Challenge (red team) January Club (they are great) 5 pound Challenge and then Ez's Year long magic pill. Those I check daily, then lurk around in others.

grazer- Still no TOM??? Shoot him when he shows up. Let me repeat. WHY US??? What did we do to deserve the misery?

hi everyone...i'm feeling a strange letdown...i mean, i'm still excited (very ) about the weight and inches lost, but i'm getting bogged down with the number on the scale. 158. 158. 158...etc. i feel bad complaining, but it's frustrating. i know i've been the one saying inches are good, measuring is your friend...i guess i'm just hoping for a little of both kinds of success.

also, my boyfriend is back (finally ) and, like i've said--was very surprised and proud of me. now he's back though and i have to keep this up...i'm in a marathon, not a sprint! having the month long push while he was gone was so exhilarating...i think i'm going to try for another month long push. i'm going to see my sister at easter and i'd love my w.l. to be "noticeable" by then...

i've certainly felt bummed before during this whole process, but i guess i'm especially frustrated right now because i'm totally on plan and i've been really keeping up with everything i agreed with myself to do. i guess that is enough and the results come in their own time, right?

for tomorrow:

W 64+
E i'm going to start 30ds tomorrow and 1 hour cardio...see how that goes...
E doing good with food but i need to curb the nighttime eating (even if it's healthy)...make sure i get full at dinner so that i'm not as tempted
D just one minute at a time...don't stop. there is no quitting, no cheating. results will come...

e32~I feel your pain, but it is a marathon like you said.

Work today, so my eating will be right on. I think I hit my mid-cycle eat everything in sight time. Here is my excuse for giving in this time: when I am at d-land I wont be eating perfect. So I need to get my body used to more greasy less healthy foods so I don't feel sick while I am there. I plan on eating healthy but I am also sharing meals with my kids so it will be a bit harder to avoid grease and sugar the whole trip. It hasn't worked.

I will keep with my workouts, I do love them.

Morning all!! Sounds like most of us are a bit down. I have been off plan for about 10 days now. It's kind of funny, I get down around 147-148, fall off the wagon, back to the low 150's and then back on target again. Have been doing this for a year, need to put up or shut up. I want to see if I can make the 130's before vacation. Just over 4 weeks, so that will be tough.

W 100
E Just did the crunches
E OP
D Walk the walk.

Hey ladies.....
I'm alive, barely. I'm ready for our show to be done with so I can focus on me again. stupid time change threw me off, and now I am having issues with the website again. Can't get it to move when I tell it to subscribe me to this thread. Maybe this time it will work. It kills my entire IE program when I click out of the problem window. Anyway I wanted to post and say hey before I try subscribing again.

Hope you're all doing well. I'm up 2 lbs, TOM i think. I'm trying to stay focused on food. Hubby got mad cuz I wouldn't stop and pick up fast food on the way home the last 2 nights. Oh well...not my problem. I told him I can't lose weight if I'm always having to bring home dinner because he's too lazy (or drunk) to cook. He got mad about it. Oh well, not my problem.

I don't even know what I'm having today. Guess I'd better get on that and out of here for work.

OOHHHH

I got an email back from the base about the job i applied for last month. They said I was qualified, and that they were referring me to the employing agency. I hope to hear from them this week for an interview.

Good morning ladies!! LOL 1:30pm is morning for us night shifters. I just like to say it. I love the looks I get at 8am when I say "ok, goodnight".

Day One IN THE CAN! Perfect eating and lots of water yesterday. Plus I've made a menu and shopping list for the next few days of meals from my Light N Tasty magazines. (I have a HUGE back pile of WW, Light cooking type mags, etc)

I just had the YUMMIEST breakfast....let me see if I can break it down into calories? I had chopped up multi colored bell peppers (some strips for munchies and some chopped for recipes) and onions (probably about a cup total...I'm not sure the calorie count on veggies, I'll give it 30cal?) sauteed in Pam...add 2 oz diced ham (45 cal) keep sauteeing till everything is cooked (but I still like my peppers/onions crunchy) then add 1/2 cup egg beaters (60 cal.....and that is actually TWO servings) make a little omlette thing and a sprinkle of light cheddar (< 2 oz, maybe a pinch so 45 cal) OK so 180 calories. Even if I underestimated the peppers/onions it's around 200. I feel full. Well and I had some fresh pineapple. So maybe next time I'll add more ham.

I work tonight and tomorrow night.

OOOHHH guess what I'm doing tomorrow?! Registering Rachel for Kindergarten!!!!! I feel like we were just talking on here about potty training her! I just really think my life is going to CHANGE when she goes to kindergarten! Like maybe I will go to the gym in the mornings? I mean I'll still work my nights so some days I will be sleeping all day but on my days off? I can lunch with the girls again! I can go shopping! My house might get clean!? But really I look for it to be my extra time to exercise. I hope. Both kids in school. Huh. A new era....LOL Oh and not to mention how much $$$ I'll be making not taking the $250 PER CHECK in daycare fees. (I LOVE that daycare though, so no regrets, but I've been wondering what my coworkers actually make, since they don't have that big chunk taken out)

Speaking of money.....(not to brag) But things might start looking up for us this year. Rachel in kindergarten will mean no daycare fees, we pay off both our cars this year AND I just paid off one student loan and will be paying the big one off this year. (Well I have been out of school almost TWELVE years!)

Are you gals watching the Biggest Loser this season? I am LOVING Tara! I wish I had her drive. I'm watching this season with my husband, I'm hoping it will motivate us BOTH.

HolyT I hope you hear from the new job soon! Your current place will be SCREWED without you. Then maybe they'll realize how much you actually worked around there. Too bad for them. And good for you, refusing to pick up the fast food (OOOhhhh FFF day # 3 for me!) Convenience in this busy time is too tempting. You keep your eyes on the prize baby. Oh and happy anniversary, sorry I missed it that week. Sorry about the busted dinner plans but the roses were a nice touch.

MMavis! Where are you going on vacation!? I'll do what I can to help push you to that vacay goal...look smokin in a swimsuit! Oh yeah!

Jeni.....YOU ARE AWESOME! Ten minute mile!?!?!?! WOWZA! I am jealous baby! I love hearing your workout tales, you remind me that I can get there too. You are that cute little chick on the treadmill next to me, ponytail swinging, actually running on the TM while I walk sloooow and flip the pages of my gossip magazine. I love it! LOL Is Tommy going to kindergarten in the fall too? I think I remember him being younger than rachel. I can't wait to hear about the disney trip...when is it again? I know it's coming up.

Hi e32, nice to meet you! Sounds like you are plugging right along with your WL plan. Where was your boyfriend that he had to come back from? Was he gone a long time? I guess I should read previous weeks threads...lol. Just keep up the good work. I actually have that 30 day shred DVD, its been in its package since I bought it about five months ago.

Hi Mindy, glad to see you're still plugging along too. So you are considering joining your Y too....DO IT! You'll love it! I bet that's the thing you need to BLAST through this plateau. But you mention it is expensive, I have no idea. I checked into it once...I think ours was something like $30-$35/month for the whole family. Would you be getting one for just you or for everyone? Plus I'm sure the cost varies from location. I don't know. I do know you'd love it though.

Seriously grazer! What is this about you and no TOM? How late is it? Any chance of "you know what"? I think the aches and what that you described probably means it is around the corner. Funny how we hate having all that but freak when it doesn't come.

Hey Clykky! Good to see you. I hear having a dog to walk is a good trick to weight loss. I just can't imagine going out in the cold for an hour long walk. Good for you baby! I'm just not a "dog" person (sorry HolyT and Captain! LOL) I have my Siamese cat who just can't be bothered with me and that works for us. I always did kind of think I might like one of those tiny teacup type dogs though. I have an allergy to pet dander though. They say siamese produce less dander therefore a better allergy-pet. It seems to work though I do get puffy eyes if I pet her too long.

NixMom....I wanna hear MORE about your fabulous trip! Sounds like fun. Plus I don't know anything about Laughlin....is there a casino involved?! (you and me the casino girls!) And aren't you recovering from some kind of injury? How is your pain? How is the no-smoking going? Oh and wow, five wisdom teeth? I didn't know anyone's mouth was big enough to accommodate FIVE of them?! It sounds painful! Was the surgeon suprised or is that more common than you think?

ThinPossible...can't wait to hear how you liked your trip to the Y. Maybe hearing about it can talk Mindy into joining. Let us know what you think.

Heeeyyyyy out to Lumi, Shari, AUD (I just KNOW you still lurk around once in awhile!?) does OnlyWomanInTheHouse still come on here? Who else? I'm sorry if I forgot anyone. Well 45 minutes to type all this babble is enough. LOL talk to you soon. xoxooxxo Michelle
