Jamie - we're all built so differently that the numbers are going to work in different directions for everyone. What's 132 on you would naturally be entirely different on Julie or I. Julie's pretty curvy with an awesome hourglass figure (hope she doesn't mind my saying that) and great muscle definition - she's in no danger of being a rail.

Using myself as an example, at the doctor's on Monday we were discussing my weight (naturally). She recommended that I shoot for 10-15 more pounds. I was offended at first because I just wanted a congratulations after coming all this way, but I know I'm not finished yet. She whipped out the BMI chart, showed me the range, says I have a very small frame and would like to see me the low end. Who knew? I always said I had the bones of a gorilla! I don't agree with the 10-15 pounds thing because at this point I'm just working on body fat, but will ultimately become leaner.

Jamie = Runner? Ha, not anymore. I haven't ran since before my trip. I'm going to have to start the C25K all over again! But I need to get on it. I'm thinking tomorrow I will start again when my soon to be ex has my daughter. I have a PT test coming up in May and need to get running!!!

Oh, I'll stick around! Just knowing that I'll never be a weiner! (does anyone know what happened to that photochick gal? She was on here all the time when I first joined along with FB and Julie... Just wondering what happened to her...)

Me either. I'm kinda (well, more than kinda) bummed at the prospect of not being a 5-Pound Challenger sometime in the nearish future

She left after a disagreement over things said.

Mind? Are you kidding??!! It's funny, I think a lot of people might take being "in no danger of being a rail" as a sort of back-handed compliment, but I am 100% pleased to hear it Anyway, I'm not restricting in any way to reach a lower goal, I'm just working on eating and exercising in ways that are healthy, and letting my final weight pick itself. I just know it will go down more when I'm more back on track.

I think you're definitely in a weight range where you can pick anything you're comfortable with. And you definitely have the attitudes and knowledge to find the right balance for you. You may have small bones, but you got muscle

Oh yay Julie - I am so glad to hear that! I really worried after I posted about your great curves, wondering if I had yet again put my foot in my mouth by accident. I'm notorious for that.

My way of thinking warped the compliment unintentionally:

I work so hard in the gym to achieve definition that when my workout partner calls my legs skinny - I immediately add more weight to my squats trying to bulk them up. I don't want chicken legs! Skinny = not good in my mind! She's just trying to be nice, it's a great compliment to her and now knows to call me lean(er) instead of skinny.

Your approach to the final pounds is the same as mine. What happens, happens. Whenever, whatever. As long as it's happening because of a healthy approach. We'll get there.

Hey, I was complimented on my "hourglass" figure today. I'm in good company with Julie and Marilyn Monroe. Who could complain about that? I was up today. I'm afraid the dreaded mid-cycle gain has struck. I am holding my breath that it stays to a minimum.

Well ladies, I almost had ya this morning. My 1st step on the scale was 345.4 lbs, but since it is electronic & a bit unpredictable, I only record the weight that comes up twice.

SW: 350.8
CW: 346.2 (-4.6 lbs)
GW: 345.8

Close.........but no cigar. Really hoping to lose this 5 lbs before TOM starts raging later this week. Holy PMS.

I'm joining this party late and it looks like there will be a winner soon but what the heck... I've just bloated up 3.5 lbs from my new low and I want it gone. Nothing like a bit of competition to get me moving.

SW: 158.4
CW: 158.4
GW: 153.4

Funny story, one of my first ever posts back in September was to the 5# challenge.. I started at 165 and had a goal of 160. Easy enough, I thought... turns out it took me FOUR MONTHS to reach it. I've mastered good habits for WL I think, I just want to start losing a little faster!

When I start moving down again, I always wonder why I can't stick with it. I know what works for my body, so why do I always sabotage myself? I have been stuck 146-152 since April 2008. Need to bust out of here!! For real, I just looked back, July 3, I weighed 151.8, I've lost 1.6 pounds in 7.5 months, perhaps I need to quit finding them again. Off the see saw.
