Grazer ~ I didn't do much, just forced myself to listen to my stomach, not my mind. I tend to be a emotional eater so I will be stuffed but keep eating, eating, eating. Like I said, I have bad days but I'm getting better at tummy over mind, I think. Also, I made sure I filled up on 'good' foods, not junk. If I KNEW that something was a trigger food, like Dots candy, I stayed away. I can't just eat some Dots and walk away. I have to eat them ALL or give them to someone who needs to eat them up immed. or hide them cause I will ask, or just throw them away!

Eny ~ Me and you are like this

DangerCurves ~

Michelle ~ Thank you. That fruit sounds SOOOO good!

MomMiss ~ It's nothing, really. She's my BFF and I know if I was in a bind, she'll do the same for me. Besides, I'm a big believer in karma so hopefully, if I'm good, good things will happen for me. Yall know how to make a gal feel good.

Okay, sidenote, am I the only one who just ADORES Subway even more now that they've added baby spinach leaves as an option?! God, I LOVE me some spinach and it's so much better on sandwiches then damn lettuce! Today I got a steak/swiss cheese on honey oat with tomatoes, spinach, pickles, onions, lite mayo, splash of olive oil, and honey mustard. *sigh* They have this special were you get a footlong for just $5 and I can truthfully say that this is the first time I've ever ate just half of a foot long! The other part is in the fridge, waiting possibly for breakfast.

Oh and I got my swimsuit today too! Simple, pretty purple one piece. Water aerobics, here I come!

Morning everyone

Well, my true weight has settled in after the holiday weekend, and I'm up 2 pounds since the last change of the ticker ! The good thing is that I'm mad enough to lose it, plus a couple more !!!!!

NMichelle - you are the best forumer (if that's not a word, it should be )!! There's no possible way I could keep up with all of those personals, so I don't even try. I agree with MonaMission - you're my new BFF!!!

My WEED for today:
W - 4 bottles
E - 40 minutes done on treadmill
E - strictly on!!
D - We must, we must, we must decrease our bust!!

Stressing out because DS did not come home last night. Not going to eat away my anger. Trying not to use the F bomb in messages I send him. He's 18, needs to man up and get his poop together. ERRRRGH!

Really wanted to read through and post to everyone this morning. My mind is simply jacked at the moment but let me just quickly say:
Welcome Welcome DC!
Happy Belated Birfday HT!
Congrats on the losses!
Thanks for the vitamin reminders!
Kicking cheerleaders or anything right now sounds great Eny!
NM - nice work on the pastry chuck, and good luck at the casino!
Grazer - got my fingers crossed for you on that 145! Thats my ulimate goal weight and sometimes I go crazy on the elliptical and chant that number in my head. Let me know how it feels!

I hope I didnt miss any one... oh CRAP... MOMMYMISS - been meaning to tell you that your sense of humor rocks! And your not the only person I've heard from about DDR being a great exercise getting fun havin thing!

okay... my furiosity (just made that up) is coming down now. See how you girls help. My scale is supposed to be in the closet. I just did a cheater weigh in and am at 192.2..... a number I haven't seen since 2006. Yah for me. Got my water in yesterday, did 2.5 of my 3 miles, stayed beside plan not exactly on it, and drove like an old lady. A B+ day for me.

Today:
W- more than 1/2 gal
E- trying for gym... may have to substitute pacing and screaming at 18 yr old
E- WILL BE ON PLAN.. everything is already prepped and ready
D- Do not kill DS.

Wish me luck!

Hey ladies..
Well we went out for dinner...I tried to not eat too much of the appetizer......brought some of it home.

Ate all my salad...saved the roll for dinner. Dressing was on the side...and I only ate half of it.

I had all my green beans, half my baked potato....and maybe 4 thin slices of the steak. All my leftovers are home. I'm halfing them and taking those for lunch. I'll make a salad to go with it. Means i'll either eat the other half tomorrow for lunch or dinner tonight

Gotta get some water in...got some workouts in yesterday so that was good.

be back later for personals

Morning all! I am at work (I teach high school) it's state tests, so I have a few hours to myself (unless THEY notice--in which case I will be quickly put in a hall to monitor!).

Today's WEED:
W- at least 64oz at work, more tonight with dinner
E- right on track
E- DDR or Hip-Hop Abs (one of my students let me borrow it to try. I'll let you know what I think!)
R- (I've figured it out...) ONLINE Bible reading. God may not appreciate me taking a cyber-shortcut to fit it in, but it's got to do for today!

NurseMichelle-I forgot to answer your question! My girls are 14 months and 4 1/2 (and, hehe, my husband is 30!)

When y'all have time--I know that my signature will be activated eventually, but is there a way to insert a ticker before that? How do I put more than one picture on my profile?

Oh, and--what is the 10 minute game?

To a fat chick that could mean lts of things. 10 minutes to....

...feel guilty after eating my weight in carbs
...Find the remote after is it squashed between my thigh and the couch
...try to get my size 18 jeans on

So, you see, I really need an explanation! =)

Wink Hey!

So when the scale is being unkind, I get into a funk. That's where I have been this week. I lost great last week, but this week gained 2 pounds. I have been on plan and made my WEED everyday. This is why I get frustrated. I should be used to it but I'm not. Today I was down a pound, a little better, but still up a pound from last Friday. We shall see what tom. holds.

Mommy- I believe the ten min. game is to exercise for a least 10 min. and once you get started you will keep going. Some of your ideas were great though.

Holyteror- I haven't learned how to eat at a restaurant yet. If it's not in my calorie count book, I just don't go there.

Nixmom- Someone I can relate to. I have a 19 year old son. I haven't seen him in 2 days now. He comes home at whatever time and I'm in bed. Then he is in bed when I leave in the morning. What in the H*** is he doing? At Easter he informed everyone that he was planning on getting an apt. with a friend. It was news to me. My ???, how are you going to afford that. He is currently going to community college and working part-time. Huh? Feels good to be smaller than in a long time, doesn't it? Me too. Since son was born probably.

Musictchr- I'm with you on the gain. It sucks, huh? Let's get it off. Driving me nuts.

Jasonslea- good job on the swimsuit and the water aerobics. I'm not that brave. Not ready for a swimsuit at this point in time.

Okay, now for weed!
W- again, 3 bottles, try to sneek in a little more
E- 30 min. video with friend at work
E- stay on calories (1300-1400)
D- stick with it, this gain is only temporary

Stick with it everyone!

Thank you Mtiger. I was actually searching the forum this morning for something, someone, anyone who is dealing with this too. Nick - DS - Hence Nixmom, is like 30% man, 50%kid, 10% his own hero, 10% exicted about school and 0% employed. Just lost a great job. Long story. I feel like I have busted my A$$ to grow him into a man... including intentionally staying single for SEVEN yes SEVEN years to put my heart into getting him to be a semi-responsible human by 18. I swear the smart fell out of him, say the word "respect" sometimes and he stares at you like your speaking French, and oh.... I should probably get to work cuz I can feel myself grinding my teeth :| But wanted to tell you that its a relief to know that there's someone else surviving it. Adding your Blog to my roll when I have time to get back there. Exhaling now.... Thanks again!

everyone. Wow there is so much going on here I don't know where to start.

Michelle WOW you really got into the personals didn't you! I try, but run out of time once my kids start wanting stuff. Makenna is a daredevil, she has WAY TOO MUCH of her father in her (including the red hair!) Tommy is the independent one, if I do it for him he freaks out until I let him do it (shut the door, open the door, put his shoes on. . . ) He can get himself dressed (even put on his own diaper if I let him), he is potty training himself so that is nice. He even will empty his own potty chair if there is just pee in it. He is also a neat freak and washes his hands about 25 times a day. If he gets a speck of dirt, he changes his clothes (gets that from Will's grandmother). I am STILL trying to convince him that dirt wont hurt him. Makenna is to lazy to get herself dressed although she does try a little more these days.

Shari, I like subway too. there is one about two blocks away so we will stop there sometimes after swimlessons (the Y is 3 blocks away). DH and I are REALLY trying to cook at home everynight to save money and so we know what is going into our food. It works only about 5 nights a week though.

I am drinking Tons of Water and taking my vitamins. I hate the idea of getting a cold. ( i Know so does everyone) At work we have had 5 of our 17 person crew out with secondary infections after this nasty bug that is going around. We have had pnemonia, burst ear drums, sinus infections, . . .you name it. I have gotten used to cleaning the lab I work in with alcohol in order to keep the germs down.

Speaking of alcohol. . . .argh I drank last night and stayed up way too late. the alarm went off for me to go to the gym and I turned over and said no. Then my nephew (who is way too hyperactive anyway) is here for the day. I really need some tylenol. And MORE COFFEE!

Once I get the kids settled down for their naps/rest time I am going to stretch and do pilates. Plus I think the sun is out so I may take them for a walk. 1 double stroller and a trike I think will work fine, as long as the kids take turns on the trike. WHO am I kidding, they will fight over the trike.

Okie dokie time for my HIT

W 80 oz
E at least 20 minutes of pilates but good intentions to get on my stationary bike.
E 1200 cals
D the norm exercise and housework.

Oh dang jcat...you mentioned secondary infections...i think i know what you mean. I don't deal well with ear pain...when I was 9 i had an ear infection so bad the drum started swelling on it's own...so to prevent it from rupturing the doctor lanced it. I never forgave him for that. But this week i've been pretty worn down with what I thought was allergies. Turns out it might be, but it brought along it's friend SINUS problem. I'm not doin so good today. Boss said i looked a little green

I'm ok though, i just feel really worn down again.

Jlea I LOVE baby spinach...especially now that the sub direction carries it

Nixmom- Had to come back tonight and tell you that your blog had me rolling hysterically. Did you say you were a professional comedian? You and I are so similar. The Girl Scout cookies (although I didn't buy any this year), the whole scale obsession, the son. Oh my, I can relate. You said you were going to add my blog to your blogroll (as boring as it will be compared to yours). How do you do that? I would love to add yours. I am not real good with the whole blog thingy yet. ****, my daughter had to help me do it in the first place. Let me know.

Smile in need of a distraction...

Hi all!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I had big plans of posting earlier today but apparently I'm easily distracted and slightly senile. I've been in kind of a funk all day! I know that it's really no big deal but I gained a pound this week. I'm a self-professed control freak with a touch of OCD so that slight gain truly ticks me off! On the upside, I ran an entire 5K on the treadmill today!! Here's to hoping that I wake up "RIGHT" side of the bed tomorrow.

WEED for tomorrow:

W: Increase water intake starting first thing in the morning at breakfast.
E: At least 60 mins cardio
E: Make sure that I eat on schedule and not fall into the trap of going without food attempting to save calories!
D: Inspiration: "Let me tell you the secret that has led me to my goal. My strength lies solely in my tenacity." -Louis Pasteur

Didn't even look at water today.... skipped the gym.... stayed on plan with eating... the boy lives.

What a day. I'm exhausted. WEED for tomorrow should be easier getting a good nights sleep.

W- drink 1/2 gal by 5pm
E- keep up the discipline.. meals already ready already
E- will be tricky... try to get in gym before filling house with step kids for weekend
D- Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.

Mtiger - thanks for comments on my blog. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have to laugh or I'll go nuts, and if I can't giggle at myself... well.. So to add it, sign in, go to site admin, go to blogroll, then the Add Link tab, and fill in the http address to blog, check the blogroll box on the right and hit ADD LINK button. I think thats it. And your blog is great and honest. I look forward to learning more and sharing during this raising adult kids thing. Maybe we can keep each other sane?

Have a great night all... I gotta go post a billion more times so I can legitimize myself with a signature ticker. I thought it was 30 days? Just found out I need 30 posts TOO. Gonna whore myself out on some other thread as not to bore you all! Niters.
