Default March '08 5 pounds/month Challenge (#4)

Let's make it simple.

1. Let's see who can loose the first 5 pounds first.

2. Make every effort to loose 5 pounds.

3. Let's see who can loose the most this month.

4. Make commitments to self and try to keep them. Post them or don't.
What ever helps you.

5. Come here and post as much as you can. We are all here for each other.

6. Feel free to add other personal goals.

7. The 5th of each month is the cut-off to get your name added to the contest. Anyone that comes after this date, please come on and join. The support will still be here. And your name will be added the next month.

Morning! So, Feb weigh in was 141.5...Certainly not 5 lbs but at least not a gain, that is VERY good!

I've been working hard trying to figure out my March goals, here's what I'm thinking:

1.) Only weigh in on Mondays
2.) Drink up! (water, that is)
3.) Exercise: 2 classes at the gym, 1 yoga class, plus 100 min cardio and 2 strength routines/week.
4.) Stay OP with points!!
5.) Rewards -- for every week of goals met, a new $10 worth of songs from iTunes (thanks Mousai for the good reward suggestions!)

I'm actually trying not to focus on the scale at all this month, but let's be honest, I want to lose 5 lbs this month!!

Good Luck to everyone -- I'm off to another full day of class...ugggghhhhh...

S: What a terrible a day yesterday. I hope this one is better for you. I like your goals. Thanks for the smile about the scale comment. I have a love/hate relationship with my scale. Great job on your loss for the month.

Losing: Congrats on loosing your 5 pounds. You are doing awesome.

Welcome! We would love to have you join us. I think your goal for August is totally doable. Are you going to be to be able to get a gym membership also? How old are your kids? I am also a SAHM of 3. I tutor them at home, so my day is really full, as I am sure yours is with 4 kids. I know I put on a lot of weight with my pregnancies and never seemed to get back down. This time I will. I am not sure of which are the most active boards. I am sure someone else might know.

I also measured this morning and while I only lost 1 pound, I lost 2 inches from my hips this month!

Lizzy - I really want to catch up to you! I don't suppose you will wait at 141 for me?

Well, here are my goals:
*Walk at least 2 miles 3-5 days a week
*Do P90 3 times a week
*Only weigh in on Monday
*WATER WATER WATER
*Eat better!!
*Do not let TOM take over

Hi - I'm feeling better today - headache free so far.

Count me in for March - 190 is my starting weight, so a bit of backsliding. I had fallen into the trap of carby comfort foods while not feeling well, so no more.

March Goals are:

3 sessions per week
4 sessions per week
4 liters of water a day
Limit food plan to 1 cheat per week.

All of that should see me at 185 or less when April 1 rolls around.

Oooohhh...look how many of us in the 140s....that always helps put me in competitive mode!!

Chinchilla -- I love that you included cheating in your plan. I haven't figured out how to do that yet...like, the anal-retentive planner in me can't figure out how to define "cheat," or if I should just use my flex points...I'm getting frustrated just thinking about it. Anyway, I think that's a great idea!

And Mavis, Adaem, and Fluffy -- I think it's a race to the 130s, hm? Adaem, I don't plan to wait for you, but who knows...
On my birthday, my scale flashed 139.5 before settling at 140 (it always does that, flashes a half pound below and then settles) WOW it was exciting to see anyway!!

Girls, April is actually pretty close to spring, which is pretty close to summer. Time to get serious. Game faces!!

My final total for February is only 3 lbs.

My starting weight for March is 152, and I'm aiming for 7 lbs. this month. Yeah, I know it is quite ambitious - but I'll try to give it my best shot this month.

I had too many cheat days last month, so it's no wonder I didn't lose more than 3 lousy lbs.

Wink Hi everyone

Quick question. Do you guys abandon the old thread now and just use this one? And do you just start a new one each month?

Okay, now for the nitty gritty. I will be starting this month at 227.5 I am doing some up down action right now and getting frustrated. My goal for March is to get down to 220. That is 7.5 pounds, but I think I can do it. I am always playing with how many calories I should eat. If I could just get it right I'd be all set. I don't cheat and I work out everyday. It has to be the amount of calories. Wish me luck.

220 by April first. Please!!!
