Good job Shari!

My Thanksgiving went pretty well also. We had it at my Aunts house, and she always has a big veggie tray and fruit salad, so I filled the large portion of my styrofoam plate with that, and just had a little bit of everything else. I had 1/2 portions of a couple of cakes, but nothing too serious.

I did take a plate of leftovers, but I think I am going to throw it away because something I ate yesterday tore my stomach to shreds LOL.

Also, I weighed 1.2 pounds less today!!! I am almost back down to where I got sidetracked---magical 182 LOL.

Sockmonkey...congrats on 1.2pounds less the day after thanksgiving. I went the other direction...up 1.6 pounds. But i know i didn't drink any water yesterday...all diet soda and sweet tea...so alot of my weight has to be the weight of the food that hasn't "passed" and the sodium i must be retaining from lack of water. So, i'm not sweating it...yet.

Congrats on all those who have made it thru this holiday fest. I tried not to over eat. maybe i did, maybe i didn't. don't know, don't care. I had a great day and hopefully you all did to. and today is a new day and it is a great one. Back on plan today and for the rest of the month until christmas day. I'll deal with that day when it gets here. but most likely, i will just enjoy it like yesterday. And not stress about it. Each day is a new day.

Sockmonkey - WTG on getting back to the starting line! I know it can be tough. I freaked a little when I lost some and then gained back to more then what I was before I started.. then I binged and then decided I was being stupid and got serious again.

Crzychk - :Welcome: The girls here are great and wonderful inspiration, motivation and support! Good luck on your goal!

Jasonslea - Great job on the self control! How's the packing going? are you nervous about moving? The last time i moved for my job (back in 2000) I gained #22 in 3 weeks because I was so nervous! that's when I hit #210s... ugh. I'm doing a much better job of no emotional eating now...

Yeah I realize its a difficult goal, but my doctor said 2 pounds a week is a steady weight loss goal, so I'm going to try it..

My mom recently went from 140 to 122 in 10 weeks! So she helps keep me motivated.

I plan on eating less calories
Drinking a ton of water (I notice this helps everytime I try to lose weight)
Working out 5 days a week
and getting more sleep

I'm a bit late, but not as late as I would be to the Christmas challenge... that would be too soon for me anyway. My goal is reach my goal goal by next February, which is an 8-pound drop. That's not much in absolute terms but it would mean the world to me... I'm still wearing size 10's and would like to be size 6. Good job to everyone losing so much already, especially for not overeating on Thanksgiving! I completely failed that.
And thanks for starting the challenge, sockmonkey

Jasoneslea Is your sister in the state you're in or in Texas? I happy to hear that you're excited! Moving is a lot of fun - especially if it's the next step in your life long goals. Meeting goals is an awesome feeling. Honestly - when i walked across the stage for my Bachelor's degree at 26 - with my then 4 year old daughter on the sidelines yelling for me.. it was the second best day of my life.

Nimbus How exciting for you to be so close to your ULTIMATE goal! Good luck to you!

Shy I feel you on the flavored water - although i prefer mine with diet coke or cherry coke flavoring. I have gotten a lot better about drinking water though. I force myself to do at least 5 glasses during the day - and I always drink about 3 glasses between working out and afterwards to rehydrate. I've also cut back on the "flavored water" from about 2-2Ls a day to 1-20 oz a day. Baby steps...

I know I have been MIA for a little while but I have a good excuse.

I'M PREGNANT!!! I'm so happy.

Well obviously I won't be activly trying to lose weight now, but I still plan on keeping up with healthier choices.

I wish you all the best of luck!

Shy WOW!!! How exciting for you!!!! I wish you the BEST of luck! Pop in from time to time and keep us updated! That way it'll be easier to ease back in with us when you're ready to lose the baby weight!

Jasonslea- you're moving to TX though right? (trying to keep up w/ the story. ) Hopefully you'll be able to help her and guide her a little bit.

I completely splurged today and ate about 300 extra cals! Oh well... I wouldn't even stress at all except that I weigh in tomorrow and I'm soooo close to winning the contest at work! There's still 3 more weigh ins after tomorrow. KEEP ME ACCOUNTABLE GIRLS! I need the money!!!

Tis the Season!
