Chicks in Control, August Exercise!
ellis and HarpoChico, is it ok if I start this thread??
If you want to write about your exercises, try to get yourself motivated to exercise or if you want to be praised for doing your exercises : this thread is the right place.
And I am expecting this to be the thread with the most postings in August...

OK, I am doing the first posting in this not-officially-opened thread....
I bought a book a last week (Didnīt count as exercises, I know, because I ordered via Mail and didnīt ran to the bookstore). It was "The Core Performance: The Revolutionary Workout Program to Transform Your Body & Your Life" (yes, what a decent title) and I decided to give that Core- Performance Workout a try....It has a 12 weeks workout program and a 6 weeks Pre- workout program if you are totally out of shape.
I started with the "I am totally out of shape"- version, but I am totally motivated to do the whole workout- but itīs incredible challenging!!
But two days of workout are already done!
Yahoo, I am going to be an athlete!!

Yes, you can start this thread, Kate!!! Anyone is free to start any new thread. And don't direct your questions at me, ellis is the boss. I am but her humble servant
YES!! Everyone needs to step up the exercise in August. We are having a forum wide weigh in, so us CIC's have to kick the others' butts!!!
Now, August hasn't officially started for me yet, because I haven't finished sleeping in July. Don't even bat an eye if you didn't understand that.
Good luck girls!!! Now MOVE!!!!

Kate, thanks for starting this! I need it!!
You ARE going to be an athlete, girl! Good luck with your new program!
Harpo, I hope you're getting a little sleep, hon. I hear ya. I'm considering heading back to bed.
Hi, Koko! Happy exercising, girl!!
I don't know what to do... it's already 41C (107F) here with the humidex, and it's only 10:30 in the morning! Maybe I'd better check out the basement for coolness... after all, my treadmill and exercise bike are down there...

Hey ladies, mind if I join in? I am following the couch to 5k running program on coolrunning.com and then just generally getting my stretch and strength training done on my own. I try to work out as much as I can but this month I have a goal of 1100 minutes. Last month I shattered my 1000 minute goal so I thought it might be a good idea to up it.
Lets get going, shake what your momma gave ya!

I just did about 15 minutes of my Brasilian Dance DVD before my needed a diaper change. So I guess he pooped out before I did...
I wanna get some of those ten minute workouts. I never have very long to workout at a time.

Hello everyone, I hope to workout everyday. July was a pretty good month, i started working out more towards the end so hopefully i'll keep going.
I ride a bike and while i'm riding I lift weights. Just 2 pounds and I do 50-100 reps of shoulder presses, lateral shoulder raises, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, and a bunch of other stuff. And then I do either aerobics or step aerobics. I did 45 minutes today.

Does anyone know any aerobics dvds that use real music. I hate that generic stuff they use on most of them.
YAY for all you hard workers!!!
