Arrow Thunder Thursday: Daily thread 3/11/04

I'm starting the thread again today. Where is everyone? Come out, come out wherever you are!

This might be the only chance I get to check in today. DH and I (and friends) are going to an Arrested Development (Fox show) panel tonight. Similar to what we did last week when we saw Jennifer Garner speak.

OK, off to shower...

We are all together now, reaching out our hands for power and strength greater than ours, and as we join hands, we find love and understanding beyond our wildest dreams.

Default Meditation

It's okay to have fun.

Although we're working hard on recovering, we can also have fun. In
fact, we can have much more fun now than we did before we found the
program. With the awakening of our spiritual self, life takes on new
zest. We smile more and frown less.

We can give ourselves permission to enjoy whatever comes our way, as
long as it does not threaten abstinence or serenity. Friends, food,
the multitude of activities, experiences, and sensations that life
presents to us each day: all these are to be enjoyed.

Fun and the food obsession were mutually exclusive. Now that we have
the tools for recovery, we can expect more fun. Using the inventory
and amends Steps, we can clear away and emotional debris from the
past that may be hampering our enjoyment of the present. As we take
ourselves less seriously, our sense of humor blossoms. Laughter
delights and heals us.

*

I will let myself enjoy life and have some fun today.

Good morning, girls!

Just popping in... still feeling quite shi**y, but I'm hanging in.
One good thing! I've just signed up for my personal trainer at the gym! I start on the 20th. It's not cheap, but I'm worth it. I think this is really going to give me a kick-start.

Kat, have fun tonight!

Hello to everyone... I hope you're all well... thank you again for your prayers, girls. My meds have been upped, but I'm actually feeling worse than I was last week. Crying and stuff... you know. I'll keep you posted.

Thinking of all of you, and keeping you in my prayers. xoxo

Lightbulb Would you all think I was crazy if I took a demotion?

A job came open this morning for a QA Specialist with our Best Practices team. It would give the oppurtunity to combine Best Practices, production knowledge, and science all in one job. I didn't even think about it I just applied.

I had a really good meeting last night before and after. When push comes to shove ladies it about accepting this world as it is and not as we would have it I surrender, God show me my path! 3rd step prayer

Ellis- Your always in my prayers and we need your thoughts. Share your pain girl I assure you we understand, its on the inside that we convince ourselves we are alone and crazy where the truth is if we would talk about it no longer would we be alone or feel so crazy + =

Kat- We just need to share our ESH and what step 3 means to you. The steps mean different things to different folks. We need to be able to see it all and learn.

I love you guys! Christy, Jenelle, and friends front center

Miss Chris

Chris - I don't think you're crazy at all! You need to do what fulfills your soul and makes you happy.
