solarplant: yeah my mom usually does all the grocery shopping and I can't go with her due to my college and work schedules.. I try buying my own food at whole foods when I can but my paycheck isn't enough for all my needs. I feel like those frozen lunches dinner aren't good for you but it might just be me.. I just don't know what to do. I deff can't fit working out 4-5 days a week into my schedule.

To the others- you are more than welcome!!You still have a month to go! You can do it!

I'll definitely be right there with you! I've convinced myself this is going to be the first year I'm ever going to wear a mini-skirt in public (I'm going as Wonder Woman), and I'm aiming for 10 pounds ^_^

@April - Wow, that diet does sound pretty extreme, but it sounds like it'll really work...

I know some of you are setting goals to wear certain things at Halloween and thus the motivation to lose by the end of the month, but don't set yourself up to fail.

Losing 10-15lbs in a month is not really a realistic goal, nor is it necessarily a healthy goal. I think we all share the same goal of wanting to reach a weight at which we feel healthy (and wanting to get there fast is very enticing!), but when we get there we don't want to put the weight back on. If you lose quickly on a fad diet (and yes, Dukan is a fad diet, it is not normal even when you're through the stages to wind up eating only protein for one day a week for the rest of your life, and low carb diets leave you perpetually dehydrated). Losing weight at a slower rate will help ensure that you're building the good eating and exercise habits required to achieve and sustain your loss.

Best of luck, but don't forget to enjoy the journey so that you'll know what to do when you arrive.

It is nice to have a goal though? I know every time I thing of that mini skirt on my costume, it gives me the strength of will to say no to that darn Chick-fil-a I see every day on my way home from work. Maybe I don't make 10 lbs by the end of the month, but I'm going to try my absolute best. If I had a goal that was easy, it wouldn't be worth doing.
