I went for the run and had my planned dinner. The dining hall was serving blueberry pie and I caved and had a slice plus half a muffin. But I stopped there, which I'm proud of. I'm going to declare day 4 as binge-free although I still ate more than I would have liked to.

The food aspect of living on a college campus is SO frustrating. I've gained about 5 pounds since I got here 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'm guessing that about 2 pounds of that is just water weight from the increase in sodium, but the rest is probably fat. I've been eyeballing portion sizes, but I think I'm going to start taking food out of the dining halls in tupperware and bringing it back to my house to eat it. That way I can weigh the food and know exactly how much I'm getting.

Susie, I definitely understand your concerns about your sister keeping oreos in the house. Great job sticking with your healthy dinner plan in spite of the temptation. Feel free to post as often as you need to over the next few days!

fruitlady, I LOVE what you said here: "This just proves that binging or over eating is a habit, once your in the habit, it's very hard to break the habit. But once you do break it, you gotta keep going and soon you won't even think of it, it becomes a binge free habit!"

I truly want to break this bad habit. Really, truly.

Tigrre, I'm off-campus but going to school, too, and I find the easy access of junk food all over the place is a challenge (vending machines and coffee shops, I'm looking at you) I just have to hunt down the better options! Good luck to you on finding food that works for you and doesn't cause weight gain (water or otherwise).

Thanks again! I'm okay tonight

Day 13. Yesterday a bit off program, NOT with the food or the calories but the timing. Tomorrow is a planned off day. Not binging just out for dinner and eating until full (won't say where so I don't trigger anyone) and a slice of BD cake (for dad).
Fruitlady, thank you for the support Along with Vixsin and the rest of the pros, you give me hope and show me that it CAN be done. I can honestly say that I think about you all when and if I am tempted to go EVEN 10 cals over my daily limit of 1500. Thank you for this thread you guys, you've no idea what a difference it makes!
Tigrre, I give you a lot of credit for even exposing yourself to all that campus food and still staying on program. Your wt. is probably going to drop really quickly once you carry out your plan. Just starting to keep track will keep you even more motivated than you are now. Way to go!
Susie, it is not at all silly to think that you might be triggered by the cookies. I'm with Fruitlady on this one, perhaps asking your sister to at least keep the foods that might be a problem for you "under cover", will help you to stay on program and also reduce the suffering and thinking about food unnecessarily.
TYLAAAAAAAAAAAA That is such an awesome milestone, my sister in slow wt. loss. You help to keep me focused on the positive . It doesn't matter when I get there, as long as I apply myself daily. I will look at your 30days and it will keep me focused.
Have a great day everyone

Man, I haven't been posting here but I need to. Today is Day 2...I definitely binged for the first time in a long while on Monday night, ate a pint of ice cream after stuffing myself all day and Tuesday was bad too. I'm sad about a breakup and bummed that finding a job is tough, but eating sh!t isn't going to make me feel better!
