Default first travel since recovering from binges - made it!!

The last week has been a serious trial.

Im a total b**ch today, Im sure because of the stress of it all...BUT I made it

And I am super proud, so I wanted to share with you all my little milestone.

Im now at almost 3 months of being binge free, but a big test for me was travel. I had become fairly secure in my day to day food consumption....still very regimented, organic, and low-carb though.

I usually travel often, but hadnt done any in that 3month recovery time. Last week I went home to North Carolina for several days. Holy wow bad food was everywhere: sweet tea, cheerwine, fried okra, fried chicken, chicken fried steak, grits, mac n cheese, pound cake, etc! It felt near impossible to find decent, healthy food - but I did NOT mess up once. 24h after that trip was over I had to turn around and get on another plane for a day trip to Seattle. Also survived that one with no slip ups.

VICTORY

If I can do this, after battling it for an entire lifetime, you can too....I have faith in you!

Iron will. I would take Cheerwine intravenously if I could.

Great job, I'm proud of you! Serious motivation!

Congratulations! I'm really impressed! I travel for work a lot and I haven't figured out how to eat better when faced with eating hotel food and in restaurants. I'm always breaking down when seeing my very skinny and fit coworkers chowing on whatever they want to. I never make good choices. But it's nice to hear that someone has broken the code and that it's possible to do better on travel as well. I guess as with everything it takes self-motivation and diligence.

Cheerwine is a super-sweet cherry soda from NC. It's almost like a shirley temple.

Cheerwine!! I went to college in NC and would always bring Cheerwine back for my brother when I came home to visit. It was such a special treat. Now it's available everywhere, in the South at least. boo! I love how you used to be able to get it only in NC!

But onto the real point of this post... congrats xty!! What an accomplishment!
