Jalsa, congrats on getting past the craving! Excellent start

zizania, it's weird to see other people binge, isn't it? I recently watched as my friend inhaled three big chocolate bars in an hour. I know from living with her that she rarely does this, but the times I've witnessed it have made me feel a little bitter about my own binges, lol

fruitlady, that distinction does help clarify a bit. I guess it's pretty accurate to say that, while I haven't been outright binging this past week, the amount of compulsive overeating I've done has increased. While I haven't felt totally out of control, and have been able to stop myself once I realize what I'm doing, it's still been a battle to maintain awareness and stop rationalizing my temptations.

Anyway, Day 20 for me! This week's been not-so-great, but I'm excited to note that I've nonetheless been binge-free for nearly three weeks.

I'm so happy!I didn't binge all day an after a rough weekend my sugar levels were probably all messed up, but I didn't give in to the cravings and I have made it passes day one! Bring it on day two!

Day 7- I'm on the edge today, my mother gets on my nerves so bad, after I got off the phone w/ her, I grabbed 2 cookies. That was it, I put all the junk food in my husbands truck so he can take it to work with him and it's away from me.

Great to see everyone here and staying binge free and well done those who are having to deal with stress at the same time - bingeing and stress go together for me -so looks like if I wanna stay binge free - I'm going to have to learn to handle the stress. I am on day 2 today

Hello everyone! I have been struggling with binge eating since I recovered from an eating disorder about 3 years ago. I want so bad to just be able to eat a meal and not keep sneaking back in to my kitchen for more. I'm tired of being completely dominated by my sweet tooth.
I know I need support from others who are going through the same challenges as I am. Can I join you all?

Hi Ivey! I've been a binger all of my life. I know what you're feeling. (Probably everyone on this forum does.) Last night I made rice noodles with peanut butter sauce - plus chicken & veggies - but this is ALWAYS a trigger food for me and OF COURSE I went back in and had seconds. BUT, I'm happy to report that I was able to squelch the urge to go for thirds and then dessert! So, yay me.. (Ivey, you've GOT to be proud of yourself for even the small accomplishments.)

I'm determined to remove this weight one final time and keep it gone forever! PLUS, I'm going to get healthy and strong. I've just started reading "Body for Life for Women" and it's VERY good.

We only have one body, and it is ours for life. (Hence the name of the book) This book teaches us about our bodies and encourages self-love, plus proper eating and exercise to "remove" excess weight (since something lost is usually found) and keep a healthy mind and body for life.

Tonight I should get into the diet and exercise portion of the book. Can't wait!
