Esperanza-I'm so sorry. I just lost my dog a few months ago, it is one of the worst feelings in the world. They are so sweet, and they love you so much no matter what. The horrible feeling that you're feeling right now will go away, just give it time, and talk about your dog a lot--it keeps her alive!

Bella- Your post made me cry. My beloved Golden Retriever, Gemma, who we've had for as long as I can remember(she's 14, I'm 20) is very ill and we'll probably have to put her down in a week or two. . She is just the sweetest dog in the world, never in a bad mood, even during her difficult battle with lymphoma. It's an awful feeling knowing I'll never get to run at the beach with her again.

Esperanzabella: I tried to write yesterday but my computer was acting up.

*Hugs* to you during this difficult time.
As someone else already said, at least you greatly improved the time she had left, and I hope knowing this may give you some comfort.

I am so very sorry for you Eseperanza. My heart goes out to you. I know losing a pet is so very hard. I have a yellow lab that was a rescue from a "pound", I know the day will come when I will have to let him go and it is hard to fathom. You did a good job not bingeing. Cherish the memories of your baby and be thankful that you have "part" of her in her pup that you have.

I did binge yesterday. My son was faced with surgery.... but he does not have to have it. I was stress eating. I guess when I started this binge challenge my heart was not in it all the way. I will dust myself off and start again tomorrow.

Good job to all the ladies who have made it so far! I am starting tomorrow with day one!

I thank each and every one of you ladies from the very bottom of my heart for your touching words. I have read all of the comments and I appreciate them more than you know.

Luckymommy, thank you so much for your kind words. 60 days binge-free is so awesome. Keep on going!

Ward, thank you for the hug. It means a lot.

Paris, I'm sorry that you lost your dog as well. It is not easy. I miss her every day. How are you doing on your NYE challenge?

Peachykeen, to you and Gemma. It sounds like she has had an awesome life. One of the things I wanted to do w/ Zena was take her to the beach, which didn't happen. I know that when I move to Sth Florida next year she will come with me in spirit, and we'll see the ocean together.

DogMom, I tried my best to give her the life she deserved. I gave her unconditional love and she gave it back to me in return. Your words helped to bring me comfort.

Ladyrider, I am glad that your son didn't end up needing surgery. Good luck w/ Day 1. You really really really can do this. Look at how much weight you have lost! And yes, it does give me a lot of happiness when I look at Zachary, as he is her puppy. He has so much of her personality. I can tell he misses her greatly.

Working on Day 55 today. We're going to have a NYE party at our house tonight to ring in the new year. I'll try to be good! Hope everyone else has a wonderful, binge-free New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm on day Day 54, made it to New Year's!

Ladyrider--you can do it! Just worry about today though.

Wardhog--thanks so much for starting this thread, it's so useful, and good luck with Day 7!

Esperanza--Did you make it? I'm sure you did--now we need to come up with another goal to focus on!

Hey all--is anyone still here? I'm on day 56, yesterday was hard, and right now I'm sturggling with some hardcore low self-confidence because of school and my future--I need to self sooth, and I need to work and study, and I'm having trouble doing that--I feel like bingeing will make me feel better.

Except it won't. Ugh!

It is day 3 for me. I am making myself more aware (again) of what I am putting in my mouth and what will trigger a binge.

Paris, hang in there..... You have come so far!

We can do this!
