Question Quick Question :)

Does it matter what time your calories are eaten? I've always heard your supposed to eat before a certain time, like not too late because you will gain weight

I don't think it matters at all. It's a simple mathematical equation--as long as you have more out that in, you'll lose. I often eat dinner after 8, last night I even ate after 9, it never affects my weight loss.

well, if you eat too late, the scale will reflect what you've eaten because digestion slows down considerably during sleep. I don't think it will affect your overall weight loss. But if you go all day with 300 calories, and then at night you eat 4 pcs of pizza---still in your calorie range. Those cheese/bread heavy pizzas will register on that scale.

The experts do say eating too late, messes with the hormones responsible for good sleep and good waking habits. They normally recommend stop eating 2 hours before bed.

I didn't think of it that way... thank you I sometimes don't get hungry until midnight! It doesn't feel right eating so late!

Cherry, I think if you listen to your body and you are truly hungry at midnight, eating a healthy snack should not make you feel like you are making a poor choice. Ignoring your body, getting up in the middle of the night, and eating the wrong thing - especially in larger quantitites than you should - is a different story.

I don't think it matters as long as you're eating healthy stuff. I usually have my last meal around 11 at night.
