Hi Everyone:
I can't post links yet or I would, but I recently read a study by Kelly Allison and Alan Stunkard (if you google them, you can find it) on Night Time Eating Syndrome. I think many people do most of their snacking at night, but for me, it goes beyond that. I can eat more calories after dinner and through the night than I can during the day. I also eat when I wake up in the night--often 2 or 3 times, I HAVE to eat to get back to sleep. When my husband and I started living together, he nicknamed me the Kit Kat Burglar because we would wake up and find empty Kit Kat wrappers in a trail from the kitchen to the bedroom.
A while ago, I stopped drinking alcohol because I thought it was contributing to the problem. Even 1 or 2 glasses of wine set me on an accelerated binge. But even without alcohol, I do it.
There is a book out by the docs who read the study, and I intend to check it out today, but until then, I wanted to see if anyone else has heard of this and wants to discuss it.
By all means, if a thread has been started specific to this issue, I can delete this one (I think I can). Thanks a lot!!!
