Post controlling my overeating R/o

i ahve a problem with overeating.see i do it when im bored or when i crave a flavor,a taste.well,we started going to curves,and im trying to realize,hmm,im hungry,or oh no ur just a little bored or sad or wutever.well ive been keeping that in check and i would like to know how any of you conquered that urge to snack,or eat when ur not hungry

What I do is drink water until I feel like I am going to explode!! Then there is no room for me to give into whatever I am craving! Or other times I will just ask myself "do you really NEED to eat ____???" Or I will get on here and check out the Goal before and after pics and it always gives me motivation! Good luck!

i think of this quote - if hunger is not the problem food it not the answer! this is especially good and motivating if you are an emotional eater, which i am!

I use a food journal, and physically write every morsel of food down that i eat, and how I what I was doing when I was eating. If I am unsure these days if i am hungry or bored i get a glass of water and go do something else with my hands. walk the dogs, make a card, drop an email, GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN AND DO SOMETHING then revisit that thought ( if it even resurfaces)
