Default I want to learn control!!!

Hey folks, thanks for being here, hopefully I can find the control I need to lose this weight, and get fitter with your support. Here is the long and short if it: I joined 3FC last January, I was pumped and exercising daily, for a month... sorry, that is all it lasted, but then this summer ( around July 4) I started exercising again, and it was really paying off! stayed with it until Sept. I fell off the exercise wagon, and haven't been able to find my way back on... My 25th high school class reunion is coming up next August, and to be perfectly honest, I don't want to go looking like I do now. I was really picked on in high school, ( gosh, even though I was slightly overweight, nothing to warrant the amount of cruelty some of my classmates inflicted, heck, I would love to be the 150lbs I was back then,) some of the cruel taunts still stick with me, but, I am older and have more self esteem than what I did back then. Anyway, I am trying to start this new year off right, ( just like everyone else I imagine),I am going for a walk after posting, and am making a plan to walk daily ( like I was this summer), I had a thread back then called 3 mile chicks, but, sadly, the thread wore out, and I was the only poster and then, I too quit. I would like to post on here perhaps regularly, so that you could help and support me with my weight loss/fitness journey. I am hoping this is a good place to post this and that it fits with your chicks in control, because I know I can't do this alone, and want to find a place that is supportive and I can feel comfortable posting my progress. I know that it helps me to be able to post online, ( where I know people will read it). I feel like I need to be accountable to someone else for my actions, or lack thereof. The accountability is tremendously important to my success I think, and as a single mom, there is no accountability here for me at home ( my 8 yr old loves me no matter what I look like ) Hey, thanks for your time reading this, I hope to get your support!!

hiya! i think you have a good motivation for exercising. just take it one day at a time and try for at least 3 days a week at first so you don't wear yourself out.

kids can be very cruel in high school but i have learned all kids were picked on so try not to feel so bad about it. also i am sure no one will look the way they did 25 years ago so try and keep it healthy and i am sure you'll do fine.

Hey luckyducky!

There are lots of wonderful exercise accountability threads with fantastic chickies at http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=34

I think if you check some of those threads you'll find a good fit for the encouragement/support that you're seeking. You can always start your own thread if you'd prefer.

Good luck and best wishes for a healthier and happier you!!!
