There was something abnormal on his last doctor ordered bloodtests in the liver section, but we haven't followed up on it. Liver diseases? I hadn't even considered that! Yikes!

Maria, I hope you understood that I had the liver disease prior to starting Atkins. The Atkins didn't cause liver disease. It's actually a preferred diet for people with liver disease, per my hepatologist. My liver enzymes are down to almost normal right now, and they were critical high before starting Atkins.

I understood that, I just got concerned that I had ignored the liver test results last summer- where as they might actually be important.

Lower and lower carbs- that's what he needs.
We can see that in the glucose results each morning.
