Default Lo carb box meals, dressing etc...

Went to the store the other day and saw a lot of lo carb meals. i wasn't sure what to get so I didn't get them for fear that it wasn't a good move. Low carb dressing said it had 0 carbs in it, the meals were 7 carbs and lower etc. Basically there are a lot of low carb products out there that I want to try but I am not sure if I should. Is there something I should know about them? Does anyone here have these things like low carb bread, meals, dressings? Thank you! I need help. I am NOT on atkins, I am just eating 20 carbs and under daily.
Ps- does mayo have carbs in it?

Full fat mayo is fine, and most oil based dressings are fine - just read the label!! You'll quickly get used to knowing exact measurements of your favorites so you will just know how many carbs are in it. Be careful with sugar alcohols - any artificial sweetner ending in OL like maltilol, sorbitol etc, eat them only in small quanities since these will cause explosive gas and toilet problems. I think those low carb ready meals are ok occassionally but its best to try to eat whole natural unprocessed proteins and low carb veg, this will also help you memorise what ingredients you can and cant eat safely.

Some of that low carb dressing is good and some are just NASTY!!! But it's to each one's tastes LC meals are good once in a while but make sure not to get into the habit of eating them unless you have no other choice (IE: your life is so busy you'd not otherwise eat).

When I started I looked everywhere for low carb dressing. After I grew a brain and decided to read the labels I realized that my favorite bacon ranch dressing only has 2 carbs per serving anyway...and so far it hasn't caused me to stall or anything *knock on wood*

I'm scared of 'low carb' mixes and products too...ya know what they say, if it seems to good to be true.....

The best low carb dressings IMHO are the regular full fat ones. Blue Cheese and Cesars are the best.

Thanks for the tips. I am just so curious as to what to get for food everyday. So far I've basically had eggs, cheese, fish and a few other things. I go to the grocery store and see so many low carb choices and tons of things to chose from and I wonder "eve nthough it says only 4 carbs..is this some kind of trick?". lol. Like the labels will lie to me. As long as I can lose weight and eat those carb meals here and there I will be happy. I just don't want to be stalled because I had a little darn carb dree dressing on my salad! lol.

Um. I believe the labels DO lie sometimes. I don't remember who told me that but they sneak stuff in when you least expect it. IF you lose weight while eating it then go for it
