Default Friday Chat 5/13

Well, once again I'm tired. Dang, not sure if I'll be able to squeeze a nap in or not today. I am SOOO sick of being tired!! Hoping that staying OP will help that problem!! I've got my list and in a couple hours I'll go get my stuff. Then find my cooler and my menus will be done!!!
Hope you all have a nice weekend!!!

Good morning! It's frassing freezing here this morning. The Girls' outside water dish had ice on it. Lucy pushed it off and crunched it up. I think she is hinting that she needs warmer weather and wants a Mr Freezee.

Brenda, naps are very good things! One summer vacation, I trained myself to power nap. I can now sleep for 20 minutes and wake up without an alarm. It sure comes in handy.

It's Friday the 13th so I'm going to try very hard to stay out of trouble.

LOL! That was cute, Leens!

Awww, Ruth, I thought things were starting to thaw out up there? Well, hang on warmer weather is on it way even if it is taking it's own sweet time about getting there.

Brenda - Ruth is right about the power nap. If I'm working from home, I never fail to get in my 15 minutes - it really is so refreshing. Have a great time this weekend. I LOVED to go on all my kids' outdoor ed trips - I was so sorry when they hit jr. high and high school and they didn't go on them anymore. It's funny but I now I will see some of the kids from elem. around the high school and they will say "I know you! You went with us to Sly Park!"

I'm a bit nervous this morning. I have an interview with a new client this morning. It is with a local weekly paper. They need someone one day a week to prepare their financial statements, p/r, etc. I would love to pick up another one-day-a-week client as that will take some pressure off CPA Mike to try to keep me busy for 4 days. I've talked to the guy on the phone after I faxed him my resume and he seems a bit on the 'brisk' side (read that as rude). We will see - if I don't like the guy well enough to work with him I'll just turn it down.

Gonna be in the 80's here today - wow. I gotta work on setting up those sprinkler and drip line timers - ICK!

Have a nice Friday all -

Kel

Ruth: Usually when I lay down to take a nap....it lasts at least 2 hours. I'm going to have to set my alarm!!!

Leenie: don't pop them too loud

Kel: Dang, had to rub in your warm weather didn't you!?! Enjoy your day and hope the interview goes well!

Alright. I need TONS more to do and a nap in between. Going to start with the nap. I've got my supper/lunch to make yet. Then I've got packing to do. Why am I making this a big deal? It's not like I've not done this before. I know how to pack for an overnighter. Then again, I've never camped in the COLD before! Not with Girl Scouts anyway. The hardest part will be figuring out how to get everything THERE. Gonna have to make 2 trips. Ok. Off to catch a couple ZZZ's. Enjoy the weekend everyone!!
