I've been sick for a week and I've not been a good girl. So I'll join you in starting over again. I need to get back on track.

I have been sick also. AND eating anything in sight. I still feel a little blah.

I am glad to have someone along with me!

There is a phase one (induction phase) thread down a bit. You'll find lots of ladies starting and in the middle of induction. Lots of support too

Thanks.
But I am starting at day one. So I decided to start a new thread.

Well my house is clean of all tempting foods.
I need a few things for my kitchen like sour cream and more eggs.
But other than that I am ready.

I dont know if I should buy bacon. My husband wont eat it because it has so much fat; but I am thinking of using it in the morning for breakfast.
It is really weird to think of bacon as a "healthy" food and able to eat and ALSO lose weight.

I love bacon, Atkins says you can have it, and I eat it every day. I lost over 100 lbs eating bacon, so it must be OK.

This morning I had herbal tea with 1tb of heavey cream. +1carb
2egg omlet with 2oz cheese

Lunch 2 cups Salad with chicken

Dinner green breans grilled chicken

It is still early so I KNOW my cravings are coming; I hope I can handel them.

Today I am going to buy some bacon...Yummmm.

Yup! Sounds like you did good.. The cravings for me is usually the first 3 days. I feel like I could kill someone for a piece of bread!!! No.. literally!! But after that it gets easier. They come and go, but if you can muster up the control to pass it up, you feel better for it..

I have changed the title of this thread to Induction as it is easily confused with Phase I of South Beach which is NOT low carb. That will facilitate title searches. There's also Wave I on Sonoma but Atkins is definitely Induction.

What about if I'm starting today (Wednesday, 2/22)? Can I join you? This is like my 3rd time starting over!

Falon, imagine if you could NEVER eat another piece of bread again as long as you live -- I can't have bread ever. And any of the gluten-free ones out on the market are NASTY. That's why Atkins is so good for me. I can't have bread, pasta, pizza, etc.
