Yippee!
I'm down 3 pounds. I can hardly wait to lose another 4 and be at my pre-thanksgiving weight! Sometimes it's hard to count what's happening right now as progress when I'm just playing catch-up, but it's definitely better than going the other way. Since I made it through my first weekend, I feel more confident that I can do this again.

Congratulations to everyone. Look how much we've lost!

Am just popping in quickly... as need to get my head down for a few hours till baby decides to get up (again)...

Am still very much on plan, but haven't had a chance to weigh in yet this week. can you believe I keep forgetting!! I weigh normally first thing in the morning, and this week it's 11am before I have time to think.. so forget . Will try and remember again in the morning.

Fostering is keeping us very busy, we have a new placement in addition to baby, she's 5 same age as my DD so we had the two of them laughing and giggling till 10.30pm last night, and my DD was up again tonight till 9.30pm... foster placement fell asleep earlier than that, and was actually asking to go to bed before bedtime!! bless her. Not sure how long she'll be with us, but should have more of an idea tomorrow or friday. More meetings going on Friday (2) and then next week.

So... that's where I've dissappeared to!
Take care, keep losing!!

Purple: I think what you're doing is absolutely wonderful! No wonder you forget to weigh yourself -- you've got enough other things going on at your house!

Purple: You just worry about taking care of those kids and staying OP and we'll see your new weight when you have a chance Keep up the great work

The scale hasn't been moving for me (again) but I'm sure that's due to the exercising and such. Just hope it knocks down another couple pounds. I'd really (for once) like to meet one of my goals Oh well, at least I'm getting exercise in--that's a first for me.

Purple Hugs

You are truly an inspiration!!! I have only 3 and 5 yr old boys and I can't seem to find time and you have all those and do just fine!! I am so happy that you help out those babies, my husband and I are planning a move to a bigger house so we can do some fostering or adoption too. Any advice you have about starting up would be great. PM me is you get the chance.

Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Talking

Hi Ladies !
Thanks so much for your support! I've been totally flat tonight after SW said our new placement is likely to go home next week. I am very concerned as feel the level of care for her isn't sufficient by any standards. We have written down our concerns and are to speak with the SW tomorrow also.
I won't rattle on, but your messages have really helped!

I was in care myself as a child and fostering is something I really want to do, and am lucky enough that my hubbie feels the same.

Well, finally weighed in this am, and have lost another 1lb, so that's a total loss of 13lb so far.. not far from 1 stone

Am really pleased and proud that I'm managing to stay on plan.

Theo's Girl.. I'll pm you and also send a link to my website. It's only a little MSN group on fostering and adopting. A great place to chat - and with others. Although most of us are in teh UK we have one US member.

Thanks again,
Hugs,

Thanks hun!

Thankfully our foster child opened up a bit on the drive to school this morning so have been able to relay our conversation to SW. It may or may not help but certainly should help. We're going to see if foster child will speak with SW as openly as she did with me. I'll be there for support for her which may help as last time she talked alone with SW and as she's only 5 found it daunting.

Am still sticking to plan and feeling great! Don't feel like this is a diet, or new woe anymore, just natural. Still miss puddings though.. but not craving.. just habitual.

not a weight loss issue..just an update on foster child. She did talk to SW really well, but has made no difference.. other than they will watch closer when she returns home this weekend. I am a bit worried, I must admit, but can't fret over every case like this, so am trying to trust Social Service's call on this one.

Hi.
Purple, you and your husband are amazing. We often hear about abuses in foster homes because that's the kind of thing that's "newsworthy". It's so wonderful to know there are people like you out there who care so much. That caring must make it so much more difficult to watch a child go back to potentially harmful situations.

Still OP here, but scale is not moving much. I guess lightening doesn't strike twice. My first time on Atkins it seemed the weight just melted off. I may have to adjust my goal accordingly, but that's O.K. I wish I could have a big "Whoosh" before the weekend to help me stay motivated, but I think I'll be O.K.
