Default "Atkins Breath"-help!

Hello ladies, I'm a newbie here....in need of help! I am beginning to develop the dreaded Atkins Breath Syndrome; very bad news since a large part of my job is talking to customers one on one.

I've read that a lot of breath mints, mouthwashes, and breath strips contain hidden sugars and carbs, and are not allowed on the program. Can anyone recommend products that ARE allowed? I've been to Atkins.com, and was unable to find any answers there. (They are missing out on a big marketing opportunity, lol)

Thanks in advance for any help. I've been lurking here awhile, and reading your posts have really inspired me and helped me stay on the diet.

Hi Laura,

Welcome to 3FC's.

Drink LOTs of water, chew on celery sticks. Some LC stores do carry 0 carb mints, you gotta look hard. One piece of no sugar gum usually has 1 carb so be very cautious when purchasing. You might want to break one piece into several and spread it out during the day.

Rincing your mouth out w/listerine and brushing your teeth several times helps too (but some times its just not practical).
