Help! Stuck! What is wrong?

Hi guys,

I've been "stuck" around the same weight for too long. I am in ketosis. I keep my carbs between 20-30 (if I go lower, I feel too ill). My carbs are coming from greens mostly... except 4 carbs are a piece of dark chocolate. (I found when I DON'T eat a small piece of chocolate a day, in the past I have quit the low carb thing early.)

I'm also keeping my calorie count somewhere between 1000-1200.

I am active. (Work 8+ hours a day on my feet in a very fast paced hospital) And I walk/jog nightly for 20-50 minutes. I am never still!!!

I do like cheese.... :dizzy: But I never overdo it.

What am I missing? The last time I did low carb, weight just FELL off of me. :( HELP!

Just a few thoughts. Perhaps you aren't eating enough. You might try upping the calories a bit. It also seems unlikely that you are eating enough fat with the calorie count that low. Remember when eating low carb, you need to eat plenty of fat to see good results. I'm a 70 year old female who leads a very sedentary life, and I have to eat at least 1700 or 1800 calories a day just to maintain my weight. Another thing is that you might post what you eat for a full day. People might be able to better answer your questions with that info. Good luck whatever you do.

It looks like all I needed to do was complain about it.... lol and I started dropping weight again. I suppose the plateaus are normal, I just didn't expect to see one so soon! Thank you for replying!!

I'll consider adding more calories too!

you will lose weight at a deficit... always. So your stall might just be that you are building muscle, retaining water, etc. Glad your plateau is done! But adding calories won't make you lose weight faster, unless it ups your energy and makes you want to be more active which will burn more and create a larger deficit.
