Default LCHF - Here I come, again :)

So, I tried a LCHF program several months ago. I absolutely LOVED it...until the 4th day. The first and second days I had bad headaches and was a bit lightheaded. The third day I felt so much better. But then the 4th day shortly after lunch I wound up with the shakes and my heart was racing. Very similar to low blood sugar, which I thought it was. It was VERY scary I quickly ate some pretzels and crackers, which stopped it within 5 minutes. I didn't go back on the program because I was nervous about what happened. Not sure what was off. I was taking magnesium and had some salted broth in the AM. This had happened around 1 PM.

Anyone ever experience this? I really want to go back on the LCHF because it was the very first time I was content and NEVER hungry!! And I can definitely see me doing this for the rest of my life.

When you go high fat, what sources are you using? When I first started out I had some days where I was POSITIVE I was sick with the flu. Upping my fat intake with coconut milk, coconut oil and avocados helped ease the symptoms.

I use coconut oil, avacados, grass fed butter, olive oil, bacon fat....all of the yummy fats

I had a tip from a LCHF dietician. She told me to do three things to avoid the "keto flu":

1. Stay hydrated

2. Make sure to use salt on my food and to drink salted broth twice a day

3. Make sure to eat foods high in potassium and make sure to take magnesium

I only had a slight headache the first day; the second day I was very tired. Other than that, I was fine
