Default Question about Blue Corn tortilla chips.

This might sound like a stupid question but is blue corn tortilla chips a no no on a low carb diet? I know to stay away from regular chips. What about tortilla chips?

It depends on whether you're doing a very restricted plan like Atkins or just staying within a certain limit. If you're just tracking carbs, you can have anything you want, including potato chips and tortilla chips, as long as it fits within your carb allowance. They should just be an occasional treat, though, because you get a lot more nutritional value from veggies & fruit.

Blue corn chips are just like regular corn chips when it comes to carbs. They're just made from corn meal ground from blue corn rather than from yellow corn. The base grain is still corn.

So if your plan does not allow corn chips, you should not eat blue corn chips.
