Im leaning more towards a Paleo way of eating. I'm starting slow though. Im already limiting milk(just 2oz a day with almond milk in my coffee) Very little cheese, but I know I will never give it up completely. I have also been grain free for going on 3 days now. I am having to go out of town in the morning, and will be gone for several days. I'm concerned about how I am going to eat while traveling.

Good luck Mandy while you are out of town.
I think eating Paleo is going to be easier for me and like Wendy mentioned, if it works and you can stick with it, that's what you should do. I have stopped eating starchy, refined and processed foods. Except for a tbs. of half & half, I have cut out dairy. I am determined. If I can stop smoking after 10 years, after trying every patch, pill, gum, etc., then I know I can do this. It has been my experience, having been addicted to nicotine that it is easy to become addicted to processed junk food & sugar. Now that I have got it out of my system, I feel really proud of myself. If I fall off the proverbial wagon, then I'll get right back to the business of quitting. I am not a quitter unless I stop quitting! I really hope this may help someone else, too

I'm doing a kind of Atkins/Primal Blueprint kind-of thing. I have cut out wheat, sugar, and milk (except cheese). I don't eat fruit either, but only because I would like to lose some more weight.

@ theCandEs- I am having trouble with stopping the fruit. First of all, still hard to wrap my head around the fact that eliminating " whole foods " like fruit, is good for my body. I understand the GI and GL effects so that all makes good sence to me, and weight loss eliminating sugary fruits. I just also bought bags full of fruits when I began cutting out all the 'white stuff'. Hate to let it go to waste

Ate some veggies sauted in 2tbs. Of coconut oil yesterday... very satisfying.

Have a good day, everyone
