I am on an anti-candida plan and while it isn't the exact Sugarbusters...I would think it is pretty close.
The only things I eat (or am supposed to at least! lol) are meats,proteins (usually chickpeas for hummus),fats (butter,olive oil and coconut oil) and LOTS of veggies. While I have gone down on the scale, it is my first priority to get all the yeasties under control and then to focus on the scale number.
I've been doing this since the beginning of September and there is a big difference in my entire health! Skin,moods,TOM,and even my nails are much better...and I didn't think they were "bad" to start with.
I post over in primal/paleo as many of the sugarbuster ideas are common with that group.
