Question New to the low carb way of life

Hey everyone, I'm new to the whole low carb thing, one day down, a million more to go lol I think I did really good today, lots of green veggies and protien. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, although I can just picture myself in a few days going into carb withdrawl lol

I'm just wondering how effective this diet has been for people? My mother in law is doing it under Dr.'s supervision and they told her she should expect to lose 10lbs in 2 weeks, she actually lost 10lbs in the first week.

So just wondering what my expectations should be? Has this way of eating been easy to stick to? Any advice for me?

Thanks!
