Hi again We just got back from visiting with the doctor and shopping a BJ.

All is Ok with Leo,No cancer in site. The only thing,he needs now is going to take Pluminary Therapy for his lungs and has to go to the throat specialist to widen his throat for easier swallowing. Diet & exercise was also mentioned. Hope Leo wants to go on low carbing with me.We can lose weight together.

I'm started this morning. Had

B-scrambled eggs with bacon & soy milk
L-balsamic tomato & mozz salad W) protein shake
D-Ham steak,sweet potato & artichokes

Want to lose 4 lbs this month for my Sept Challenge.

Chickadee-Sorry about your BM problems I was there last week, and its wasn't a picnic. Hope you mend soon, like I did. Your body will adjust and start losing again once your better.

Azure-Planing is the battle in succeeding. Best wishes for a good school year and happy weight loss journey

FitinTime-You look like you have everything in control. I like your plan, sometimes eating more the body doesn't start holding on to what you feed it. I'm going to use a salad plate or a tri-section plate to measure my portions.Have to start over again as my F/P didn't help matters scale is moving upward.

Aud-Thanks for your well wishes.Being on a shift is hard to schedule a plan for lunch & dinner. I know I've been there and it isn't easy.

Have a great afternoon

Hugs BB

Hey Ladies,
Thanks for the encouragment and the same to you all too. You have progressed so much since I've been gone, WTG!!!

I just came back from lunch and I had a nice taco salad. It was pretty filling, now I'm going to down some water.
The only thing I'm not doing yet is exercise. I just haven't got to that point where I'm ready. You know how you get that "thing" where you want to lose weight. I don't know how to describe it, well I haven't got that way for exercise. I know I need to but I hope I will get that "itch" soon!

Good Morning Ladies

I got my first e-mail from my granddaughter, she sent me a picture of a fat cat. She 6 1/2 and already sending e-mails. How time flies I remember the first day when you was born, and now she sending me e-mails.

Started Low Carbing yesterday, but I blew it when eating a pc of thick crusty rye bread, while watching t.v. Put the bread in the freezer and I going to start over again today.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I've been doing really well! I finally feel like I'm going to be okay--that I can see this out to the end. I'm hoping that "End" is going to be by the end of November. I finally got the guts to step on the scale and felt pretty stung by the 4 pound gain from my last ticker update (granted, that update was weeks ago and I had been eating really poorly...). But, I'm being honest with myself and recording it. It sucks being out of the "I've lost 30 pounds!" frame of mind, but I'll be back there soon.

Hope the rest of you ladies are doing a-okay! I need to go read for class before I dash out the door! Later!

Morning all....I've been doing ok. Last night I felt a little ill.....I sipped some diet 7-up & went to bed. This morning though I was up at 8 (I usually sleep until 10!) and I've already done 3 loads of laundry, dishes and other chores. I think I found that energy boost!! Hopefully this continues!!

Hi Ladies

Sorry I had such as short post this morning as I had to get some groceries in to start my low carb program started.
b-eggs & sausages,soy milk
l-2 meatballs on bed of veggie blends
d- huge tuna fish salad on bed of lettuce, tomatoes & cukes.

FitinTime-I know what you mean, I can't get into exercising either, even if it nice on cool out to walk along the beach.I haven't been down there. Hang in there, it will happen.

Azure-Sorry about your 4 lb gain, I did the same from last week, hope that I can drop 1 lbs this week with all the food poisoning I went though. Glad that you doing ok and will be able to see the end of the road. I'm giving myself until the end of the year to reach my goal.

Soon-Oh Gee!!! Sorry you're not feeling well last night. and glad that you found your energy boost.

Heya LowCarbers!

I've overslept - shooting whatever hope I had of making sense of the chaotic schedule I'm on with all the extra work of contract talks/keeping up with the regular stuff. - ahem, HOWEVER not gonna sweat it and just do what I can, ya know?

I'm in the ZONE- that's how azure & I coined the phrase one time on how we feel when things are clicking on low carb. I think that's what you need to shoot for too fitinT. . . just shoot for it whether you get there or not has been so beneficial. The exercise thang will surely follow---or the energy burst like stbFAB is groovin' to today!!! Good Luck!

Mmmmmmmmm . . . rye bread beachie? Our bodies crave things when they're recovering I think. Glad you're able to jump back onboard - in the past something like that would just WAY LAY me into a slide - have been able to just STOP and move forward since returning to 3fc this time - Tx all for the support!

Ohhhhhhhh liiillllllyyybbbbbbb? Puncie?????? Bouncie?????? WTH are you guys??????

Hi Everyone!

How's it going today? Ihope everyone is doing great and staying on plan.
Yesterday I gave in. . . I ate a ice cream bar. I know, I know, I shouldn't have but I did. I know I must not be in Ketosis or something for me to be craving that. So I have to stick with it and not give in.
I can't have anything sugar free, because then I will start craving it over and over. That's my problem! It's terrible that if I eat sf jello, which was once, then I wanted to eat another.
I just can't eat sf stuff.

Thanks BB for the encouragment, I just hope that desire comes soon. I'm already thinking about getting surgery if I need to.

Listen Ladies, I got a rather embarrassing question. I hope it's okay to ask it here. I'll wait for a response first from anyone for the go ahead.
It's a women thing.

Talk to you soon!

I consider LC Chat to be just like a Dr. or Lawyers Office - totally confidential here on the world wide web!

Not sure how old you are beachie - I'm 46 and since my parents had me late in life - I've got nieces and nephs in their 30's and early 40's which freaks me out every time I think about it/birthday parties/reunions - and have had emails etc from THEIR kids!!! I always think - "Gosh, it was just yesterday when I was babysitting/changing your Mom/Pops diapers!!!!" LOL!

Have any of you experienced vaginal dryness? I know I didn't want to ask, but I'm wondering if it has to do with low carb woe. I drink alot of water, I don't know if that affects that area.
Well, I was embarrassed to ask, but I feel I can ask that here.

BB, thanks for the sympathy about the four pound gain. I'm sorry you had the same thing happen to you I guess all we can do is press on, though, right? The end of the year is still really close, though! I'm getting excited to be so close to maintenance, and also afraid...maintaining means I'm there, but it also means keeping my old habits in check.

Aud, you're in the Zone! That's awesome!
<---ZoneDanceCarrot!!! Don't sweat the schedule, hon! Just keep pressing on--you'll make it!

FitinTime, I haven't personally experienced any vaginal dryness, but maybe one of the other ladies can chime in. I think the problem with sugar-free sweet things is that they still trigger that sugary-food binge--at least with me, they do. I hope you find your Zone soon--I -finally- feel like I've found mine again.

soon2Bfab, I'm glad to hear that you're doing really well today! The energy that comes with Atkins is pretty awesome!

----------

I've had a great last couple of days! Yesterday I was at the gym for an hour; I did some cardio/abs, then asked one of the hunky guys at the desk if he could show me how to squat with proper form--and I suck, by the way, but I'm learning. I also ate like champ and drank PLENTY of water (4.5 liters).

Today, my eating was On plan and I took a 70 minute walk. I really wanted a diet Pepsi and was about to drive somewhere to get one when I said: "Y'know what? If you want Diet Pepsi, you're going to have to walk to get it!". So, I walked to Target, bought my Diet Pepsi, and walked back to my apartment! I got my exercise in, kept my heart rate between 130-150 the whole way and got a treat at the end I know Diet soda's supposed to be a no-no and I'm cutting down, but the aspartame doesn't seem to stall me, and caffeine definitely doesn't make me hungry more frequently...I usually have to count calories to make sure I'm getting ENOUGH of them, thanks to very low hunger on Atkins.

Tomorrow, I've got a weight lifting session in my plans and my food's all prepped and ready to be eaten! Soon "The Biggest Loser" challenge will begin and that'll be fun to participate in. I like the idea of teams.

I'll check in tomorrow!

It's the state of being during a diet/exercise program where you feel invincible. You can do no wrong and you have no desire to, you're too determined to achieve your goals. Aud and I refer to it as "the Zone"

Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new today, I'm still feeling tired, and don't have the energy to exercise like I usually do. Hope by the weekend this will pass. I'm trying to eat 75% OP.,but fall by the wayside.Have to find the ZONElike Azure was talking about.

Aud-Its hard to go back to induction after you put so many carb[bread] back into the body.I don't think I could handle 25 carb per day. Going to up them a little by starting at 45 per day, coming from veggies and salads of course, and see what happens. You're welcome for the support thats what we are here for.

FitinTime-No I haven't experienced VD,but I don't think low carbing causes that.If its that bad, I go to a doctor for advice.

Azure-Lost 1 lb out of the three, and it isn't my w-i day. Hopefully I lose the others soon.Don't know how to maintain on L/C but LILY has done a good job maintaining. Hopefully she'll be back to inspire us when we get that far.If you like you can post in the Sept Exercising Thread that I asked Leenie to sticky for us.I sometime feel if I don't post what I eat or what exercisers I do I can't keep myself accountable.

Soon-I'm lucky as I never drank soda, unless I put something into it like juice.Don't like the carbonation in the drinks I tend to burp too much. I drink lots water with crystal lite.MY DD and her DH love Pepsi & coke, UGHHHH!! to both.

Have to go,

Hugs BB
