Default Healthy eating on Adkins

Have any of you successfully lost weight on the Adkins by eating healthier optionsF? For example, instead of beef and pork, eating alot of chicken and fish cooked in olive oil with herbs. Just curious because I want to try this program, but do not want to eat very heavy foods. In the past when I did this diet, I got sick of bacon, butter, etc.

Red face Welcome!!!

I just celebrated 3 years on Atkins. For me, the key is variety. There are so many great things you can eat on this plan. You might want to have a look at this website..some of the best recipes on the net can be found here:

You CAN do this!!

All the best to you!!

Default

bacon and butter is NOT the atkins diet!

My main protein is chicken and fish....I only eat beef or pork on occasion. Simply because it is too expensive...especially beef!

I would suggest you get the atkins book, and read it cover to cover. When done right atkins is a very healthy diet, with plenty of variety.
