Sleeplessness, stress, social stuff = me getting off track. Back at it yesterday:

Stressful day. I have felt tempted to buoy my spirits with sweets, but so far so good, just extra calories of protein. After the last several days, this is real progress. First cut the carbs & solve the craving for more more more. Then cutting calories is not so daunting.
B egg white & broccoli omelet; coffee w cashew milk & protein shake
L salad w veggies, HB egg, evoo, 0-cal Italian dsg; IP Garlic chips
D chicken breast and also Whole Foods hot bar--steamed veggies, 4 smallish pieces of rotisserie chicken
S 2 B-up bars.

Today went south. Tomorrow is going to be challenging and I am not feeling motivated. Sunday is looking good for getting back to normal eating. I'm getting some good sleep with the carb indulgence.

I'm still here, working back to a semblance of my plan that was working well. I am eating in response to some stress in my life. There are all sorts of stressors. One that I don't cope well with is my Mom's health crises, which are becoming more frequent. She is about 1.5 hours away, living alone at 90 yrs. She has refused help up to now. Once some baseline help is in place, a lot of the stress will be alleviated. Meanwhile I'm preoccupied and feeling a little starved for down-time. Food fills the gap so well--consequences are a problem.
Today:
Begg white omelet, protein shake/cashew milk in coffee. Good start!
L salad with HB egg, evoo
Then, well it isn't great but not as bad as it's been--a couple of B-up bars, Whole Foods hot bar chicken enchiladas, a chicken salad sandwich. I feel like I could keep eating and eating.

Coming back to earth today. With eating to relieve stress, it feels good for a few days, then it just doesn't. I'm glad I have an internal braking system--there was a time I didn't.

NSV was driving past a pizza place that is really good. I pass it every day on the way home from work but there is never a parking spot. Today there was, and I started to pull over, then went right on by. It was a good feeling.

S B-up Bar, roasted cabbage steak, IP chocolate mug cake packet

Todays cals 1152 and net carbs 40.
