Hello, all. That title should be "Sage2's Little Calorie/Weigh-In Log" lol, but I'll let it stand.
I'm returning to 3FC after leaving some time ago (different user name) and I'd like to post a little personal calorie/weekly weigh-in log here. It helps me focus on my weight management goals. This is a minimalist thread for that purpose and while, of course, anyone is welcome to post here, I won't be able to make replies due to time constraints.
My Sunday "official" weigh-in was 125.6. I weigh daily but only use the Sunday number as my weight for the week. My current goal is 120. At one time, I weighed much more than I do now and am happy with my current weight. But right now I'm trying to get the calories under control and lose approximately five pounds.
I am blessed with a rather high metabolic rate, apparently, and am able to maintain my desired weight with a fairly high calorie level. I used to be taller but have lost height in recent years, so I do need to get the level down a bit as I am not burning as much as I did when taller.
My exercise routine includes 10,000+ daily steps and four short strength training sessions per week.
I am a very over-age college student at present, retired from my primary career but hoping to find another work direction to sustain me in my golden years.

Posting early as am done eating for the day. Didn't make my calorie goals at all for the week and only had one day below 2000 (which is a key parameter for me) but still feeling fairly happy with how I'm doing. My "official" weekly weigh-in is tomorrow and I'll post the result and update the calorie log. As I noted earlier in the journal, I weigh daily for data purposes and am up but not by a lot. Hoping to get somewhere in a downward direction by the Winter Solstice on the 21st.

So, today is the official Sunday weigh-in and I'm up an official 1.4 to 127.
I have gained a lot in the past two to three weeks. It is mostly stress from studying for finals (as stated before I'm a way overage college student) & I just started bingeing. About two pounds is water from lifting (light) weights again after laying off that for some time. I know that as I've lost inches over the past month. The muscles hold extra water for about two weeks then start to heal & get stronger.
Weighing daily is a huge help as I've noticed that I gain .2 per day when calories climb to a certain point & I've been above that point for a number of weeks.
So the war against the binge demon IS ON. More & more it's about the daily weight trend over time and what I eat and burn than just what I happen to weigh on Sunday, although Sunday is still my official weigh-in day.
But the main thing for me is calories in/calories out.
I'm fine with all this gainage and overeating as it's all been data in a grand experiment.
But, really, the Binge Demon is outta here and the Sane Calorie Level Without Deprivation Angel IS BACK!
Finals for my classes tomorrow and so am posting the update today. Will come back in at some point and change the number if I eat more tonight, but think I'm pretty well done except for a Luna protein bar, which is already counted and which I will eat later in the evening if hungry.
