Time for a Change!?….maybe….

Okay. So I started WW a couple of weeks ago. I was on the WW program a year ago and along with exercise I think it worked. I lost 20 pounds or so AFTER I quit the program and just continued to eat "smart" on my own.

Well, for the past week I keep eating way over my daily points in the WW program and I think that I'm starting to think that calorie counting in conjunction to the points will make more sense.

What do you guys think about that? What I'm thinking of doing is something like 1,800 calories a day and as I eat I will count calories, then input the given points. I've lost maybe 1 or 2 lbs and I am just not sure that's enough in over two weeks, doing WW alone….
MEH:?:

I haven't done WW in many years so I don't know how it works now. But if you count your calories along with WW you should be fine. I guess that would ensure a healthier balance of food than just counting calories and having half your calories in chocolate. Not that I've done that but been tempted!

I did that before- counting calories and tracking points at the same time but only because I was curious to how many calories I was taking in. Right now, I'm just tracking points since it's a lot of work to do both, lol.

I don't know if 1800 calories per day will give you the same results that you were expecting from WW. If you want, you could use this calculatorto get an estimate of how many calories you'd need to lose.

Lastly, it's okay that you've been going over points, that's why you have your weeklies to fall back on. Although, if you want to lose more per week then don't use as much weeklies. Personally, I can't lose at the rate I prefer if I use all of my weeklies but I think that's because I have not worked out in a long time and pretty much all of my muscle mass is gone.
