  • Welcome back skinnyki! You can do it!
  • oh yay! now skinnyki is back, too! The more, the merrier!

I've been at around 900cals for 2 days in a row, and today, I've had 1219cals.......including ice cream!!!! on purpose!!!! acause I WONTed it!!!

I've been so strict with myself this entire year. Logically, having a sweet within calorie range should be ok, but if my scale goes up tomorrow morning, I'll be kicking myself.
  • Thanks calcounter nice to be back congrats on meeting goal...how is maintenance ? .

Seemyfeet you are doing great! !!! It's OK to treat yourself every now and again. 900 calories 2 days in a row.. i would die lol. Obviously it's working!

    Calories today 1783
  • 1337 for me yesterday, but I think I over estimated. Either way, I had a few corn chips and now have corn chip remorse. They smelled so good, I made myself a very small portion - like, 5 triangles but the cals were insane.

Anyway, today is free dinner friday and I am so giddy with excitement that I don't know what to eat! I've had 7 days on now, I need the break.

    Welcome back, skinnyki!
SeeMyFeet - I hope you enjoyed your treat. I'd go nuts if I had to go a year straight without being able to indulge
  • It was a good day today. Only 970 Calories and a very low 671mg of sodium

As I lose weight I am getting more healthy every day. Even my mail order pharmacy thinks so. I had to get authorization for one of my prescriptions and I received a letter from them stating.

"We have reviewed the information provided and approved the request. The authorization has been entered into the system. This authorization for coverage is effective until 12/31/2099."

Evidently my life expectancy has improved a great deal. I am 69 years old and now the pharmacy thinks I need approval for this medication until (2099), the year two thousand and ninety nine
  • I'd say you deserve some ice cream, SeeMyFeet, ESPECIALLY if you kept it in your calories! I usually try to have some kind of treat at least once or twice a week as long as it fits my calorie budget. I'd fall off the wagon in about ten seconds flat if I thought it'd be months until my next one, I think.

Congrats on your extended life expectancy, Larry! Nothing wrong with another 85 years.

I've been doing very well with my calories, and got a small reward for it today. It's been steadily going up by 0.2lb every morning for the past five days (still staying below my weight last week, but really irritating nonetheless), and today it finally started going DOWN again! Hope this continues.
  • Hey all, sorry I've been MIA. I'm just so frustrated and feeling down. I lost 2 pounds last week, but only because I had a stomach virus from **** and didn't eat for 2 days. (My kids had it too, but they each lost 5 - 7 pounds that they didn't need to lose) sigh...

    Congrates to everyone.
  • Hi all! I'm gonna squeeze in here and participate. I did calorie counting for a week and did tremendously well. And then stopped keeping account and gained a few pounds back. My goal is 1200, not really focusing on nutrition or macros at the moment, just getting into portion control and measuring and weighing.

    B: None
L: Homemade mac & cheese, potato wedges
    D: Tuna sandwich
    S: Twizzler bites.

Total: 1078 calories. Feeling pretty content.
  • Skinnyki, maintenance is going well. Just been a few weeks and it doesn't really seem that different from trying to lose. I'm still counting cals and exercising about six times a week but I am just eating more. But not that much more. I'm just feeling incredibly thankful to be at this weight at this point in my life.

Paisley, I was cracking up at your corn chip remorse. I've had that before! Whenever we go out for Mexican which is almost every week I just try to have a chips and salsa but sometimes it can't be done.

Diamond girl, sorry you are feeling blah, hopefully you and your kids will start feeling better and some spring will appear. You are so close!

Lady petite, welcome! That's what I love about calorie counting, we can choose to have one we want. Sure, it might be healthier to not eat some of the junk I eat, but if I didn't have those small doses I couldn't stick to calorie counting.

SeeMyFeet, I usually have ice cream every night. But I buy an ice milk that is only 100 cals for half a cup. Of course, half a cup isn't much but I do enjoy it!
  • Yay! Keep on counting, LadyPetite!
    Bleah! Stomach flu!
    Party like it's 2099, Larry!

I meant that I've sworn off treats since the first of this year, but the only way I'm gonna get this weight off is to keep it up all year. Doesn't bother me. Most of the time.

Got bitten by the bunny. The Blue Bunny Premium Bordeaux Cherry Chocolate from last night. Up 0.5 lb today. curses! 953cals today. 1000cals for the week. I'm sick of being fat.
  • Made chocolate chip cookies with my son today. Lots of fun. Ate five of them, which was maybe not the greatest thing I could've done, but I cut my dinner portion down a bit, so I still came in under my calories.

I managed to go out thrift shopping today to get some much-needed new pants, since the ones I got after having the baby are falling off but my old ones still don't quite fit. I'm in a size 12 now, down from a 16! And an M in workout pants instead of XL. So nice to see progress.
  • Cheers to pants falling down!! Can't have too much of that!

1111cal yesterday, including a big bucket of starch in the form of leftover (homemade) pasta dish. (well....it was only about 1 C, but still, lots more than I'm accustomed to having.) That still didn't satisfy my urge to consume copious quantities. Got some yard work done yesterday and felt lightheaded. I definitely need more calories if I'm going to be more active. But I'm on a nice 8 day streak of keeping the average weekly calories below 1100, which is where I need to be in order to lose weight without exercise. Now that the weather is better, it's time to form some good low intensity exercises. When another 8-10lb come off-->TENNIS!!
  • SeeMyFeet - Oooh, tennis! It's been forever since I played. I'm gonna have to see if I can get my husband to go play with me this weekend maybe. Good idea!

1450 calories yesterday, which is way low, but I wound up going to bed after putting the kids to bed instead of getting some yogurt as I'd planned. I think I figured out why my weight has been bouncing around so much. My scale is busted! This morning it gave me 165.6, then 164.0, then ERROR. So I'm going to get a new battery and see if that's the problem. I decided to take updated measurements and pictures since I couldn't get an accurate weight, and I've lost 3.5 inches since my last measurement (8.5" overall!). Of course, it all comes from where I don't really need to lose much (arms, hips, thighs, neck) instead of off my extreme-apple belly, but hey, I'll take it. "Last weight on is the first weight off" and all that, so I know it'll be a little longer before I see the stomach go.
  • Hey all! Sorry I've been AWOL for a few days - been crazy busy over the weekend, dog-sitting, partying and watching the 6 nations (my fave rugby event of the year!!) but through the busy madness I didn't have a DROP of alcohol so no gain over the weekend.
However .. I've been stuck at the same weight for 5 days now - no up and no down! so I got back from work tonight and did about 45 mins of aerobics, resistance and core. So hoping that scale will flippin shift tomorrow!!

BigChief totally feeling you with the 'pants' (lol that's my favourite american word) falling down. lots of my clothes are starting to look weird as they're getting too big!

SeeMyFeet I felt really light headed all day Sunday after eating no breakfast - I also got super grumpy! Got to keep my energy up :P

Looking to come in on target calorie-wise today I'm really hoping to be down on the scales tomorrow morning!

  • 1133 calories for today. Sorry I've been MIA. Took a couple of weeks to figure out what I want to do going forward. I do want to lose a few more pounds but I really just want to be healthy. I figured out that when I don't count calories I also don't exercise or eat very healthy and I really need to do those things to be healthy. So, I'm back and ready to keep on counting On a good note, I didn't gain any weight back! Hope everyone is doing well
