Hey everyone.
Ok. Im still new to this site, but I have lost weight in the past - about 30 pounds. I started with weight watchers and it was at a pretty slow but consistent amount each week (0.5-1.0 pound loss/week). If i had to guess i was probably eating around 1500-1700? calories. Maybe less. Not sure, because it was a points system (i was allowed 21 points? something like that, but my hair was fine. didnt notice a difference, and no fall out. BUT then i decided to count calories and ate around 1000-1200. when i did this i noticed a lot of hair loss. This made me very sad, because i already have thin hair to begin with. I'd also like to add that on the calorie count i was eating the exact same things every single day pretty much. not really healthy things :/ like low sugar oatmeal, and pudding and pretzels as snacks, and lean cuisines. its been about 5 years since i lost weight the first time around. This time i want to do it healthy and without loosing my hair :/
I dont want to do weight watchers, because i like counting calories more. Its easier to me, and i dont want to pay money and go weigh in at a place. stuff like that. So whats your advice? This time around i was going to stick to a 1200-1500 cals, lots of fruit, vegs, protein, and a multivitamin. not highlight it as much etc. OR do you guys think thats too low? should i up my calorie intake to 1500-1700 and lose weight slower. i guess i dont mind slow weight loss if i still have my hair! but it just kind of bums me out.
anyone else have this issue? or is it just me?
