Wow! So many NSVs!

Philana and Rachelm- persistence in working towards a goal is definitely a victory!

JennaR- It does feel so good to exercise regularly. Exercise totally gets a bad wrap b/c it's hard to get going if you've been inactive for a while. Once you get moving, you really start to appreciate it.

Queen Sarah- TINY....wow...that must feel strange but awesome!

124chicksinger-Sounds like people are noticing. Don't discredit your hard work, ever. There are enough naysayers in the world to do that for you. Accept the compliments, you have earned them!

stimkovs-I have chocolate too. I keep a bag of chocolate chips on hand and weigh them out in shot glass in the evening for a treat. It's 70 calories and sometimes I have 2 servings (140 cals) if I can "afford" it but it helps keep me on track. It feels like I am indulging but doesn't wreck my plan.

osu2k1- I think you are doing great! Counting a binge is a big accomplishment b/c it's accepting accountability for it. Also, when you don't know if/how much you've gone off track then the tendency is to awfulize the percieved damage which can demotivate a person to the point of giving up. You've maintained accountability and accepted responsibility for staying on plan and that is a big deal!

-Got a small frozen yogurt today (instead of the medium or large I would typically get) and only finished half
-Went out for sushi and got a roll and a half roll (instead of the 2+ full rolls I would have gotten previously)
-At the same meal, I got the delicious ginger dressing on the side instead of dumped all over the salad the way I like it. I didn't use even half of the dressing
-I've managed to stay out of most junky fast food joints for the past three weeks (except for my designated cheat day). When I wanted something quick I had a 6 inch turkey sub from Subway. I was craving a milkshake so I opted for a small 330 cal one from McD's.

I know these don't seem like much but the are really big accomplisments for me. I typically have no discipline around food. It's nice to feel so in control.

I had a big NSV today...

I was extremely bored and stuck in the house because of the weather. Instead of sitting around and doing nothing or eating, I decided to whip out my hand weights and get some strength training in .

I went to the gym today already, but it was for a zumba class and then a belly dancing class. I was there for two hours but I felt like both did nothing for me. The 35 min of strength training I did got me sweating more than the 2 hours of zumba and belly dancing!

I guess I'm getting fitter and fitter and I'll have to challenge myself more.

My NSV for this week is admitting that it's time to start over and doing it. I'm here. It's hard, but I can do this.

Heaven help me I gained it all back.

I just got off the last of the weight I gained during moving and over the holidays. Seems there are a few people on the forum who've had regains. It's not fun or exciting but it happens. What matters is that we acknowledge it and continue working toward our health, weight, and fitness goals. Any time we take accountability and responsibility for our circumstance and start the work to change it, is a victory!

We still have 3 weeks left in the Valentines Challenge if you like to join in. There are also St. Patty's Day Challenges going on too. I have to admit I haven't done well with challenges in past, usually gained during them, but this time has been much different. You most definitely can do this!
