Default grrrrr......calorie confusion

Yesterday, I put in MFP one scrambled egg.....it was 101 calories and 1 sugar gram.

Today, (forgot that I had one in there already) and I put in 2 scrambled eggs......140 calories and 0 sugars.

Which is correct???? I do not use egg beaters or anything like that. But dang......that is a big difference.

Depends on the size of the egg. Did you maybe enter XL for the first egg and medium for the second entry? 70 cal is what "medium" eggs show up as on LoseIt (I think both LoseIt and MFP use the USDA database for generic stuff like eggs).

The one that's 101 calories most likely has added cals/fat/sodium etc due to the preparation method. I prefer to just use the "one egg" because I don't use salt or fat when I cook mine. My egg carton (large eggs) says 70 cals

Sometimes things like "scrambled eggs" will include butter or milk. Just choose "egg" and then add any fats that you use separately.

It's probably because they assume you're using milk and butter. I get the same frustration when I try to add cooked veggies to fitday. Suddenly broccoli has grams of fat. I am sure that there is nothing in the process of steaming it that adds fat to it, so I just put it in as raw broccoli, in the amount it was before cooking.

My large eggs are 75 calories (as per the carton). I do not use butter or anything to scramble them. A lot of the eggs that are already added into tracking sites by other users tend to include what they used to prepare (milk, butter, cooking spray).

Thanks yall......maybe it is "hidden" prep or cooking items. Which I don't use other than spray to make them not stick. I will chalk it up to that. At least today it really didn't matter too much since I cut the grass (is there a smilie that is sweating LOL)

I always hate that those sites assume you're using additional ingredients. You can always just choose "raw" if you want the straight up calorie count for the eggs you're using

I looked up raw jumbo eggs (90cals) since I poach mine most of the time and/or rarely add anything but the egg.
