Default Mini pizza - under 240 calories

I just wanted to share one of my new favorite yummy lunches!

Half of a whole wheat pita 90
2 slices of Mozzarella cheese 100
2 tablespoons of tomato sauce 10
onions and mushrooms 40 (way over estimating probably)

Or load any veggies on it that you like.

Bake 15- 20 minutes on 375.

That sounds awesome. Will definitely have to give that a try this week! Thanks for the idea.

Yes! I do this too! Sometimes I add ham and pineapple for a Hawaiian pizza. I also make faux Mexican pizza this way. Instead of tomato sauce, veggies, and mozerella, use homemade or low fat refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar. SO DELICIOUS.

I've also noticed that if I grate the cheese instead of slicing it, I need way less, which bumps the calories down even more.

Thats sounds delish. I eat a similar pizza like this almost everyday. I LOVE pizza and before discovering this little meal i always felt deprived. Now i can have my pizza and eat it too,

Here is my recipe:

Flat Out Mulitgrain wrap (tried the Lite Iltian and didn't like it)
Pizza sauce
low fat meat(or no meat)
spinach,bell pepper,red onion,lots of veggies
Finally shredded mozzarella (sometimes i will double this,or no cheese)

Very high in protein, high in fiber absolutely delish and fills me up for hours. It comes out at around 300-400 calories. This is a great way to get my veggies in too.

Some great ideas in this thread! I do not know why I did not think of doing this earlier, since I used to make my son little pizzas out of English muffins.
