4th Of JULY CHALLENGE~ Even if your not a calorie counter Your more than welcome to join

Can u believe It's time for a new Calorie Counters' Holiday Challenge?

Everybody did great on the MEMORIAL DAY CHALLENGE!!!!
Some of us met our goals, some of us only got partway there, some went the wrong direction, but we all put in a great effort, learned some lessons, made new friends, and supported each other... and that's what these challenges are for. Now, we're ready to set our sights on a new challenge, new goals, and the next 34 days of this journey!

Here's how it works... Set a goal or goals that you would like to reach before The 4th Of JULY . Your goals can be anything: pounds you want to lose, a smaller clothing size or outfit you'd like to fit into, sports or fitness achievements, or just a goal of keeping food and exercise on track. Whatever gets you excited about working your plan over the next few weeks, is the right goal for this challenge. You can set as many or as few goals as you like.

All are welcome! If you're not sure what your goal will be yet, but would like to join up and find some weight loss buddies, get and give support, please jump in, and you can post a goal later, when you think of something. Our main purpose is to motivate each other to keep the food on plan, keep exercising, keep getting leaner, more fit, and healthy. REMEMBER Even if your not a calorie counter Your more than welcome to join! The more the merrier!

I may not be able to check in daily,Since I am a mom of 3~ But I will do my best too. HAVE A GREAT CHALLENGE EVERYONE

starting over

Well Its been about a year since I have even got on the websight. But I have to get it togather. My goal is to lose at least 10 pounds by July 4th. That gives me almost a month:p I am trying to jog at least 30 min 3-4 days a week and keep my calories at 1200. I have jacked my metabolism up so much by doing low carbs diets, binging, and starving myself. So even though things may be slow I want to keep it off. I am looking forward to getting encouraged and getting on track. Does anyone have any comments to how they lost there weight and what I can do better?;)

KDM322 05-31-2010 04:46 PM

Count me in!!! I didn't meet my Memorial Day goal, but that's OK!! I did however stay on track with JM's 30 Day Shred! I will be completing that in 3 more days!!! I'm thinking I may have gained some muscle, so that could be preventing the scale from going down! It's all good!! I'll be taking final measurements on Friday, so I'll let ya know the changes :)

**Here are my goals for this challenge:
1) Maintain at or below 170 (alot of traveling, including beach vaca, this month, so if I WI on 7/4 at 170, I'll be happy!)
2) Continue 30DS atleast 3x/week (except while at the beach)
3) Add 45min of cardio (inclined walking and/or jogging) atleast 3x/week (will attempt this at the beach, or atleast riding bikes)

That's it for now!!! May add some later :D

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!

Thanks Lori for a new challenge! My goal is the same as ever, to get to 105 and stay there. This tread always helps!

I am going to set my goal to be under 200lbs. I had a tough time deciding on where to set my goal for this challenge. Wonderland is 10.9lbs away. I haven't lost 10lbs. in a month in a long time, so it seems ambitious to set the bar that high. My wedding anniversary is on June 30th, so I really want to push it this month to be as close to the 100's as possible by then. I can't believe I am talking about the 100's. 1something seemed so far away when I started (at 270), now it is in reach!

:swim::exercise::lifter::running::bike2::yoga: Let's rock this challenge!

susieyarb 05-31-2010 05:42 PM

Well, since I didn't really make my goal for the Mem. Day challenge, I'm afraid to set my goal too high. I've been just stagnant for the last three weeks it seems. I've been OP 90% (if I count this past weekend) and I am just stuck!

So, my goal for the July 4th challenge is going to be 183. That's a 6 pound loss and I have a cruise in the middle of this challenge. My hope for the cruise is to just not gain any lasting weight (I know I may put on some water weight). I'm going to use the gym on the ship so I'm going to put that as part of my challenge that I'll use the gym at least 3 days onboard the ship for at least an hour a day.

Hi I am still fairly new to the forum, but would love to join this challenge.

**Here are my goals**
1) Lose 12 pounds by 7/4 (I know kind of ambitious)
2) Run 20 times between 6/1 & 7/4 (I count a run as being a 5K distance - I love to run, have no problem doing a 5K - problem is I love it once I get going, I just have a problem with the "get going" part of it) :D

Good luck everyone!

Dee :running:

I've not done a challenge in a while so consider me in. I want to see 169.8

that would be 5 pound loss

I'm currently at 175.8.

I hope we all meet our goals and then some! Muah!

ShylahEQ 05-31-2010 06:29 PM

My goals:

* get to lvl 2 of 30DS
* get back on the treadmill at least 3 days a week
* lost 10 lbs and get to 245

julesp313 05-31-2010 06:30 PM

I completely missed the last challenge, but work has been so intense that I haven't wanted to get on the computer once I got home (having spent 10-12 hours a day on a laptop). But summer is here in full force - today hit 97 - and I'm going on a cruise in 27 days so I need something to help me stay on track til then (and beyond, but mostly til then!).

Goals:
- 4-5 workouts a week
- don't eat crap
- don't let one mistake with food turn into a three day binge (I am guilty of this many times over)

I'm not putting a weight loss goal as I don't want to fixate on the scale this time - more focus on getting fitter and stronger and less on the weight, and hopefully that will help me get my head back into the game.
