Default I want to take my family out to lunch today-- Ideas?

Since it's Easter I'd like to take my family out to lunch today, possibly an early dinner. But no idea where to go! All I've had so far today is a low sugar/low cal green smoothie (mostly spinach!)..

What's one of your fav meals that's diet friendly and what restaurant?

You're always safe with a grilled, roasted, or baked meat or seafood and a double portion of veggies - potatoes don't count! If the restaurant is a really Southern place or somewhere known to be fattening, I'd ask for the veggies steamed or cooked in less oil.

If I don't have a calorie count nearby, I aim to eat something like that at any restaurant.

Plus, it feels more satisfying than a salad without dressing.

I always go with a chicken or vegetarian soup without the toppings (avoid potato or chili). It's never more than 400 calories and it fills the bowl, so it looks like a full meal.

My SIL works for Olive Garden and she told me last night they now have a lot of lower calorie choices. Her favorite is the apricot glazed chicken. Then again, she also said today was going to be a mad house!

Picnic in the park? Stop at subway for sammiches on the way, or make sammiches to take with you. Take along some fruit. Might be more fun than waiting in line at a restaurant. Dont forget that the Easter eggs are great for protein.
