Ihop unlimited pancakes commercial

  • Has anyone else seen it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slI-W3jznhM

Once upon a time the idea of magically regenerating plates of pancakes would have looked really good to me... now it seems more like a nightmare. I watched it and it scared me. I think I may have real nightmares now.
  • I agree with you, the regenerating pancakes are a little scary. Now the regenerating coffee I could get behind.
  • AHHHHHHHH you put the link up for it..... I'm not looking, I'm not looking, I"m not looking........
  • I know. I now think to myself, "ew, why would I want to stuff my face with pancakes???" Before I would think "LETS GO!!!!!" (Especially because I live literally 200ft from one)

    I love calorie counting!
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one creeped out by this commercial.
  • Ashley you are so not the only one it creeps out.
  • I realized the other weekend that I'm DONE with pancakes! I can only have one with other stuff, at the most, if I make them for my husband and son, and really they shouldn't be eating them either. I can't believe how many calories is in one of those, even with sugar free syrup.

I did see that commercial right after my pancake wake up call, and I was like, oh my god, that's awful!
  • mmmmmm pancakes **drools**

    I mean....uhhh....yucky weird pancakes!

    P.S.
    I <3 pancakes! lol

THANK YOU!!!! I was starting to think I was the only one that thought pancakes were gooooood. Of course we all know the pancakes aren't the problem. It all the toppings that are killer.
  • I saw it and thought to myself, why would one eat pancakes until they couldn't eat anymore. I've never been a big pancake eater so this was kinda strange. It did make me think I wanted to eat something though.
  • I like the taste of pancakes, but for as long as I can remember, high carb, especially sweet foods for breakfast has always made me sick. Even when I was small and my parents would buy donuts once in a blue moon on a Sunday morning, I'd choose a french cruller because it was the least likely to make me sick (now I realize it's because they were the lowest carb/calorie donut), and even then if I didn't save mine for later in the day I'd feel crummy for hours.

It makes me think that I've always had blood sugar issues. Since I've been avoiding sugar, the effect seems more noticeable when I overdo it or eat it on an empty stomach (even natural sugars). Now, even a banana or a glass of juice on an empty stomach makes me a little queasy if I don't add some protein with it.
  • I'm not going to lie, the old me thinks that looks AWESOME!

Thank god she's locked up in a closet somewhere.

Seriously, though, I had pancakes last Saturday at home. They were good and worth the 320 calories. I just enjoy them in a healthier way now.
