I weigh 263...the first 3 weeks I stayed around 1200. I lost 6 lbs one week (im sure alot of water), then 3 lbs the next 2. Starting my 4th week I bumped my cals up to around 1500 and lost 2 pounds but wasnt as strict that week either.
I work out a hour 6 days a week give or take some.
I might start alternate back and forth or something with my cals...Im still playing with it. =)

I eat about 1500-1600 a day (i'm nursing my daughter still so I need those extra 200-300 calories for milk production) I'm currently at the lowest her doctor and my doctor advices me to go while nursing but when I'm done I can't wait to drop those few hundred calories... I am 5'5 and weigh 214 as of a week ago (I weigh in tomorrow) and I lose anywhere from 2-3lbs a week on average so far

my budget for calories is 1700 or less (i usually end up around 1300, but i wanna give myself the wiggle room for now)
I weigh 263, and as an average i lose a little more then 2 pounds a week. (i can tell this is slowing down though, i only started about 5 weeks ago)

I'm 27yo, 5'6", and try to eat around 1500cal/day. Usually, 1 or 2 days a week I'll go over 2-300 calories. Until this week, the 6weeks prior, I did NOT exercise and was losing 1lb/week. This week, I've already exercised 3x (40-45min each). I'll let you know if it bumps up to 2lb/week (which is my goal).

It depends on how hungry I am on a given day, but my target without exercise is 1440 according to my BMR, and with exercise I end up eating around 1700 many days. I'm 212.8 today and losing about 1.5 pounds a week, on average. I have had some days higher than the total I'm aiming for, though, so I really should be losing two pounds per week if I didn't indulge a bit

I'm 46
I try to have around 1200 per day but it's usually closer to 1400-1500 most days. I am not losing at all. Very frustrated.

1200-1300 and I am 221..I've lost 4 pounds in a week but I think that's because my body has been shocked that I've been eating healthy and moving around for the first time in ages...I'm sure the 4 pound weeks will not continue.

I try to keep them under 1800. I exercise about an hour a day {various things from Pilates, weights, to Kboxing}
I'm 40, 5'7 and weight 225. When I'm very good I lose 4lbs a week, but norammly closer to 2. I haven't been good lately, LOL. My weight tends to go up and down a few lbs each day.

I'm 43, 5'6" and 215 lbs, and finding the same thing - I aim for (and usually hit) 1500 per day, walk a half hour to an hour 5-6 days a week, and my weight hasn't budged for weeks now. I am wondering if I need to reduce my calories some more, but I don't want to get into "starvation" mode and screw up my metabolism even more than it already is. "Frustrated" is a good word for it.

Supernatural,  to 3FC!
I too am having a hard time losing, I have been eating more than I would like to, about 1700 but bruning almost 3000 a day shown on my Bodybugg, i walk about 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours (dog needs it too) and get on the eliptical for another hour I am hoping to see some movment really soon!
I don't think you need to cut your calories you need to up your exercise. 30-min to an hour of walking is great for overall health but just isn't enough to get into a into cardio work out, you have to sweat and anyone here who is maitanance will tell you it is not just about calories in but it mostly is about calories out.

I'm 192lb, I eat around 1500cal and I burn 500cal a day, averaged across the week. The maths says I should be losing 2lb a week, but I've only been doing this for about 2 weeks, so it's too early to be certain that the maths is right (though it's looking pretty good so far)

Try increasing your calories for a few weeks to maybe 1700 and see what happens.

I'll soon find out the effects of my calorie counting. I was a bit too relaxed before, but now I've found sparkpeople I count everything and don't guesstimate at all. So since Sunday I've unintentionally been calorie cycling: 920, 1370, 1600, 1650, (probably 1300-1400 today).
