I try and stick to 1500 but it doesn't always happen. I lose about 1-3 per week depending on the week, and how much activity (average about 2 hrs/day) and I'm 191.

I am over 400 pounds. I have no idea exactly how much as I do not have a scale but I do know the pain it is causing my legs, back and feet. This morning I began eating 2000 calories using low carb foods and I will adjust my calories accordingly as my weight goes down.

I am 283lbs, 5'9" and I consume anywhere from 1700-2000 cals a day (I am breastfeeding so I don't want to go to low and interfere with my milk production).

As long as I stay on target I lose 2-3lbs a week.

I've tried all sorts of calorie levels but 1500 seems to have always worked really well if combined with exercise. I have a calorie counting book that has a chart on exactly how many calories you should consume according to your gender, age and activity level and how many lbs you want to lose per week. So someone like me who is about 195, female, under 30 and moderately sedentary should eat 2336 cals per day to maintain, and to lose 2lb per week cut calorie intake by 1000, i.e.1336 cals per day.

My average daily calories is @1500 with average daily deficit of 1000 calories. Although theoretically that should be knocking off 2/lbs per week, I'm only averaging @1.2 lbs/week at this point. I blame it on being 50 years old and by my body getting more efficient at the exercises I have been doing so will be changing up that routine a bit.

I'm @ 260/5'5" and about 1500 cal day. It can vary up to 1700 but not often. Weight loss alters each week but maybe that's how I lose weight?

In under 2 months I've dropped 15lbs, so I average 1.5 to 2lb week loss. I haven't BIT the exercise bug yet... :/ I don't like to exercise and need to change my attitude because I know that will be the most important thing for me to maintain my weight loss.

I eat 1500 a day. I'm 5'2" and 129 lbs. I exercise for at least an hour 6 days a week - burning about 400-500 calories according to online calculator estimates. I've been doing this consistently for about 4 weeks, with a few high days in there, and I've lost 4 pounds (1lb a week).

I'm currently eating 1600 a day, but I'm also tracking my sodium, I do not go over 1000mg a day. I exercise daily, lift weights 3x week and cardio/ and yoga 4x week. I average 2lbs a week.
