Default Calorie Counting Websites

Does anyone use the websites where you input the food and it gives you your calories, fat, etc for the day? If so, what site do you reccomend?

I use thedailyplate.com. You can also get to it through livestrong.com. Pretty much everything I eat is in their database. It also gives you a pie chart of the carb, fat, protein ratio that you've eaten that day. It also adds up the grams of fat, etc.... I love it!!!

I also recommend The Daily Plate. I've been using it for almost a year now, and it has helped me tremendously!

Gotta say the dailyplate as well, just started using it like 2 weeks ago after seeing it on here. I always figured I couldn't do this whole calorie counting thing because it seemed like such a pain, but it lays out everything for you. Awesome site.

I love DietPower, find it easy and helpful to use, although fitday, for example, is better for things like raw meat - need to know for creating recipes etc.
Also, DietPower is not free, $50, I think but there's a free 15 day trial you can fiddle with.

I just joined Caloriecounter.com and am having a hard time believing the amount of calories it tells me I burn and that I should consume. It says that I burn 4,300 calories a day!!!!??? how!? and that I should be eating 2, 750??? I only eat about 1,500 a day and am wondering if that is too low and is the reason why I'm not losing weight as fast (3 pounds a month). I weigh 238, but I am very active, doing about 9 hours of very intense cardio a week (spinning, running, yoga, power walking) ...I don't know, I'm just having a hard time believing I'm supposed to be eating THAT much, that seems like and endless amount of food!! Help

Maybe try bumping up it up to 2000 calories for a couple of weeks and see if you lose more. If you're working out that much, you're going to need more calories. From experience, when I actually ate more healthy calories and worked out, I lost the best. HTH!

I like The Dailyplate too for counting for the day. For quick look ups, I use Calorie King. I like Calorie King because you can see the calories and macros by the ounce, gram, and other serving sizes.
