cheese for me too! i have a drawer in my fridge that i kid you not is filled with cheese. laughing cow, string cheese, feta, brie, swiss, provolone, cheddar... and on and on. i can keep eating it though because i hardly ever cook with it. i'd rather have it as a snack or on the side so i can really enjoy the taste than to mix it in and waste the cals.
Well I am trying really hard to give up pop.. but for some reason (AKA ADDICTION!!!) I am having a really hard time. I am doing a lot better than I used to, but it is still tough.
The one thing that I cant give up.. is granola bars. I have made better decisions in the types that I buy, but I know they arent 100% the best thing for me to eat! lol
If cheese was one of my absolute favorites, like yours, then Laughing Cow and lite string cheese are definitely the way to go.
I was willing to give up any food in order to lose the weight and end my misery. That's just how badly I wanted the weight off. At least temporarily that is. I assumed one day, down the road I could bring back some favorites - like cheesecake and ice cream, pasta and the like. But for me, they had no place in my life as I was losing weight.
But I was not willing to give up - under any circumstances - delicious tasty food. I searched for recipes and revised them to fit my needs, tweaked my old favorites. I was not/am not willing to eat food I don't like.
I would have said cheese, too, but I lived in Asia for many years and now know that a cheese-less life is possible. Not as great, a life, maybe . . . but actually, once I embraced local food completely I didn't miss it much. That being said, I did buy it for exorbitant prices when it was available at the import food store.
So I guess my answer is that othe favorite - chocolate. LOVE dark chocolate, and I know that, if I plan for it, I can have it everyday. Yay for calorie counting!
diet soda and sugar free red bull. I'm sorry, I have 5 kids and work nights, I need it. I'm fully aware that they aren't good for you but uh, I don't care.
I guess we're all on the same page: cheese, dark chocolate, and carbs. I'll add to the list that I won't give up wine, or the occasional shot of Irish cream (Carolans has fewer cals than Bailey's).
Yep, cheese, dark chocolate, carbs, but also won't give up going out for Chinese or Mexican every now and again. Just can't envision life without getting those treats occasionally!
