Question calories in plantains

Finally delurking. I have found alot of support on this site and am finally committed to healthy eating and not just a fad diet.

I need some help identifying the calorie count in plantains. I have seen some web sites give it a calorie count for it being "cooked," but none of them specify how they are cooked. I'm sure frying them has a whole lot more calories than baking them; both of which are very common cooking method.

I'm also wondering if their stage of ripeness affects the calorie count.

calorieking.com has them uncooked.

1 cup (5.2 oz) is 181 calories. Cooked isn't much different, so I'm guessing cooked isn't fried.

Hey!

FitDay says that 1 slice of plantain, fried, has 101 calories. For a whole, large plantain, fried, it says 644. So, take it easy!
