Default Sweetners

I am getting different information from several sites and wondering if something has changed. Equal and Sweet N Low packets show up differently-everywhere from 0 calories to 8 calories a piece. Sure, not a big deal in the whole realm of things, but I have 10-20 of these a day so it could make a big difference on my counts. Anyone have current information for them?

I think your best bet would be to check the package of the "sweeteners" themselves and go with that calorie count.

Just curious...Have you heard of of tried stevia?

Nutritional labeling states that if something has less than 5 calories, it is considered calorie free.
I believe that most of the little packets of artificial sweeteners have around 4 calories each. Those calories actually come from the bulking agent, rather than the sweetener itself.
To be on the safe side, I would count 4-5 calories per packet. It does add up.

If you only used one or two a day... I wouldn't worry about it. However, since you are using a lot of them, I would definitely track them. Four or five calories at a time can really add up. As I learned with my darling Crystal Light.

I would check them, but the coffee place I go to puts it all in & customers can not access them. Nope, what is tried stevia?
