Default New Year's Resolutions

Many people begin their quest for a better body after the New Year. Since we were smart enough to start this dieting venture long before that, what resolutions will we be setting for ourselves?

I participated in the Couch to 5K in 9 weeks running program before I began counting calories. While I was eventually able to run for 30 minutes straight, my speed never increased. Basically, I was walking really fast. While I still walk on the treadmill, I stopped trying to run about the time I started on the diet. Now that the dieting is working, I would like to take up the running again. I am going to register for the Disney 5K which takes place in May 2007. You have to be able to run a 15 minute mile. I have four months to whip my body into shape.

That's my goal. How about you guys?

I think for me I am going to look for more NSV's than the number on the scale. Also, working out more than twice a week and being able to feel comfortable in public.

I have a pair of jeans I am dying to fit into - my goal is to get into those.

My resolution is to get to the fitness center 12 times a month. Well, in order for my health insurance to pay $20 of my membership fee, I have to do this. It used to be eight times but will go to twelve times starting January 2007.

To regularly run races and build up to a Marathon, and to stay off the cigarettes.

Wow, look at all those running-related resolutions. Well, in that case, let me add my own - I want to run in an official 5k and 10k race this year. I've recently completed the C25K program and am running regularly on my own, so I think doing a race is a good next step, and it will keep me motivated to train.

_To continue eating a healthy diet and remain in control.
-To reach be at 199 lbs by March 5, or depending on how the next 2 weeks go, by Valentine's Day.

-To keep on increasing my exercising.

Wishing us all good luck in attaining our goals.

Good goals everyone! Way to keep motivated on your weight-loss journey!

I was surprised to see so many running goals included. I started running/walking intervals this week and will be starting the C25K program soon. Cheers!

My New Year's resolution is to start 2007 at 155 lbs! Bob Harper (the trainer on Biggest Loser) told the audience "Don't wait til January 1st -- you can do it TODAY!" and I loved that. My other resolution is not to buy a lot of "diet" desserts anymore. I have found that those can trigger binges as well as being calories that don't provide any real nutrition. Oh, and PS - they are SO expensive! I'd rather spend the money on fresh fruit or new clothes than donate it to the Weight Watchers & Skinny Cow people

I would like to reach my goal by March ( as long as I don't eat my face off over Christmas, HA HA HA). I only have a few lbs to go. I think I can do it.

In 2007,
I will exersice regularily,
I will eat healthy,
I will drink plenty of water,
I will be proud of myself not matter how I do.

My goals sound pretty whimpy compared to some, but I have not ran since I was in track in high school. So my goal is to able to run a mile, I know it's not much but that is a biggie for my arthritic body! My other resolution is to obliterate the double chin!!

I think my goal for 2007 is just to keep going. I haven't lost weight at the rate some impressive people can achieve, but I also haven't ended any weeks at a higher weight than the week before, so that is a trend I intend to continue!

I'm not sure how well my goal is going to sound.

I would like to be able to take a long walk without getting winded. I would like to reach 199 at least.

Quit fast food eating, and be happy in life.
