Smile Homemade oatmeal muesli

I love this, used to eat it before doing the south beach diet

1/2 cup oats (not quick oats)
1 cup of low fat milk or soy milk
2 Tbsp's of lf maple syrup
1 green apple grated
cinnamon (i use about 2 Tbsp's)

Put in the fridge overnight then in the morning top with berries of your choice, strawberries and blueberries are fab and mix through a tablespoon of low fat natural or greek yoghurt. Yummy and perfect for summer (its summer in my part of the world :-)

4-6 servings depending on how much you have for breaky

I make this for breakfast with cooked oatmeal and didn't know it had a name, LOL. I use 2 - 3 packes of splenda in it. I also toast some walnuts and stir those in as well. I made mine this morning with McIntosh apple pieces, it was delicious.

I love this and make it almost every night for my breakfast the next day, but I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk and a tiny bit of splenda.
I often will vary the fruit, too, but chopped apple does taste the best in it.

I just realised that its actually 1 1/2 cups of oats not 1/2.
I am making some in prep for phase 2 tomorrow :-)

I would love to try almond milk, can't seem to find it in the supermarket here though!
