How Much Does Your Breasts Weigh?

I know it's a crazy question but I am curious to know if anyone has ever thought about how much does their breast weigh.

I weighed in this morning and I am at 172.2. lbs. I wear a size 8 pants. My tops are a Medium or Large. The last time I was measured for a bra which was about 6 months ago. I was wearing a size 36DDD. At this time, I have lost 46 lbs and I have 13 lbs to go. BUT the only thing is, I honestly believe that at least 10 lbs is weight from my breast. Now, I am trying to decide if I need to try to lose the 13 lbs or just stop with my weight loss now. I only need to tone. I have a little tummy but that has been deflating as I have been losing weight. My legs are thin and so is my body frame.

I have a co-worker that mentioned to me when she had breast reduction surgery, they weighed her before going in to surgery and weighed her again after surgery was over. After surgery she was 15 lbs lighter because of her large breasts. So, now I"m thinking I have hidden weight in my breasts.

Is anyone having the same problem that I am? My breasts are so frustrating.

I wish that I could get breast reduction but our new insurance doesn't cover it. And I don't have an extra $10,000 laying around to have the surgery. :(

Hey, I have been thinking the same thing about weighing them on the kitchen scale. LOL LOL LOL.

I think I will try tonight. I can flop them on the scale and see what comes up. LOL

Mine feel like they weigh 10 lbs as well.

I will weigh tonight and post my results. LOL LOL LOL

By the way, I don't think this is a crazy question at all. A girlfriend of mine had breast reduction surgery in college. It dropped her weight by 15 pounds.

I have the opposite problem, lost most of my breasts with weight loss and am now a 32A. On the other hand, the first place for me to gain weight and the last place for me to lose is my butt and thighs. Your body composition might be such that you lose in every other place, then your breasts will go last.

While I didn't weight them, I decided to measure again, since I have lost a little weight, and I was 33inches under the bust! Definitely smaller than just a few pounds ago! Now I will have to look for 34 band size??! I really don't think I can fit in 32's.

I tried to weigh mine on the kitchen scale but it didn't register. LOL. I guess the scale didn't go that high. LOL LOL LOL

Odd sort of conversation but there is something about density too, my sister and I were talking about it one day; our breasts are about the same size roughly we both wear around a 38H at the moment but we did a little comparison and determined that mine roughly out weigh hers by half again as much. Incidentally I've always had large breasts even when thin I was a 32DD, when she was slim she was like an 32a or b cup.

that is a good question! My babies have gotten small; So they can't be no more then 2 pounds might be less then that. My chest almost like a pre-teenager! :( Once I get to my goal; I am getting these little girls lift!

I can chime in from real experience. I had a reduction last November and went from a K-cup to a D-cup, which was 6.5 lbs of tissue removed. I've tried for years to lose weight and even after losing 30 lbs I only went do in band sizes, not cup sizes. My breasts have been huge since HS so 20 years of pain.

My procedure was covered by insurance due to back pain and numbness so it's worth checking out if you have problems. It's by far the best thing I've ever done for myself! :) I'm happy to share any more info that anyone might need.

Ugh...I've lost 55 pounds and my cup size has not gone down at all! I was literally just on the phone with my girlfriend talking about breast reduction surgery. I'm a 38H right now. I was a 34DD in college.

Meazie- I'm so glad to hear that you're happy you had the surgery.

I've always had big boobs. I was the 11-year old with the 36 DD chest but then losing weight, I now have what I consider small boobs. I used to have huge, heavy boobs and now they're more skin than anything else, so they're pretty light weight. I'd say a considerable amount of weight probably came off my chest. I've gone from a 44J to a 32E.

I remember reading that the proper way to weigh boobs actually involved submerging them in water and getting the weight of the amount of water displaced. So weigh a full bowl of water, immerse boobs such that water is displaced; weigh left over water. The difference is the weight of the boobs.
